10 Good Single-Player Games With Lame Multiplayer

Gamespy: Just because you can add MP, doesn’t mean you should. Here’s our Hall of Tacked-On Multiplayer Shame.

I heard Far Cry 3 had a pretty good multiplayer, i'll be playing SP thought.

Conzul4165d ago (Edited 4165d ago )

Really? I heard it was mediocre compared to the SP.
BTW is that Joe Flannigan? :P

Good list, except for the Riddick game. I rather liked the " tag-you're-Riddick " mode.

ChronoJoe4165d ago

I heard it's basically COD with a map editor.

Which actually sounds pretty good.

Why does COD not get ripped on for being COD, but other games get ripped on for being even somewhat similar?

Far Cry 2 MP was decent(and still is) and Far Cry 3 MP seems pretty solid if not better.

I liked the Rage multiplayer, but the problem is no one played it

seanpitt234165d ago (Edited 4165d ago )

Not surprised nobody played it single player was great tho

e-p-ayeaH4165d ago (Edited 4165d ago )

Did the author already played Far Cry 3 MP? that´s funny because he doesn't seem like he played it.
I think Bulletstorm MP is pretty good but none played it.

InTheLab4165d ago

Resistance 3's mp. Clearly an afterthought. How do you go from one of the best in R2, to complete trash in R3.

BattleAxe4165d ago (Edited 4165d ago )

Totally agree. I think Insomniac just wanted to get the development of the game over with and move onto their multi-platform career. Its unfortunate, because it had one of the best single player FPS campaigns that I had played in quite some time.

I thought that the multiplayer in Bioshock 2 was good. It didn't hold me for very long and there were very few people playing it, but when I did play it, it was fun.

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
