Gaming Unwrapped | Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale Review

Gaming Unwrapped writer Ryan Taylor writes "I don’t know about everyone else, but I always thought that Smash Bros. was going to be something that Nintendo kept to themselves. A big compilation game involving multiple key franchises was a truly great idea, but you have to consider that if anyone did go ahead and try to create a similar game, some comparisons would definitely be drawn."

Well, my anti-virus kicked in and I got this warning.

"AVG Detection:- Name: Exploit Blackhole Exploit Kit (type 2363)" And luckily the threat was removed.

Congratulations gamingunwrapped.com, you get a vote down.

@Disagrees: I've been on this site for a long time, so I know this reply is pretty pointless but I'm writing it anyway. Disagreeing with my post means you are saying one of 3 things. A) My anti-virus is a liar and didn't kick in. Which is false since I copied word for word exactly what the detection screen said. B) You disagree with my voting down the site. Well, tough. I don't think N4G users should be subjected to a particularly malicious program and I have the option to prevent it. C) You didn't get a detection notice. Well, that could mean your anti-virus sucks. I'd rather have a touchy anti-virus program than one that doesn't detect anything.

Lol could be the website staff, you are marking them down and divulge a virus threat from thier site.

The site itself was attacked with some killer script yesterday, but the threat has since been removed.

We are sorry that you were subjected to the threat.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69514d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop514d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard514d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi514d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin514d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer520d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
