What Was The Last Game That Really Grabbed You?

When was the last time you got so into a game that you were absorbed by it completely? You couldn't put down the controller/handheld/etc. You kept looking up better methods of playing. You wanted to buy accessories like clothing, models, whatever that were branded from that game. You just could not stop playing it.

Peace Walker grabbed me. The co-op gameplay in the "Extra Ops" is addictive! I loved everything in that game. 90hours+ gameplay and that's a Metal Gear game.

X cOM Great game but buggy as hell. Still love it to death though

Sleeping Dogs was hella fun...

Doom. Seriously everytime I play that game again I get addicted, and the BFG edition did it for me. Money well spent.

If we are talking about new games, then probably Assassins Creed 3. I have a hard time walking away from it, especially when all the games next to it are nothing but camera behind a gun with stuff exploding games.

I'll have to make this a mission the next time I blow through Tokyo.

send me one while you're at it. I mean what's better than Whiskey and Persona? A cigar with the two, and that would be perfection personified.

Currently playing Snake Eater HD on CRT 16:9, via Scart RGB. Game looks great but not as clean as MGS2, but thats due to the setting. Can't wait for the remake + the next HD collection on PS5.

Remasters And Remakes Make Up 90 Percent Of 2023's Highest-Rated Games

Only one of the games on the top ten is completely original.

90 percent of Metacrtitic's top ten highest-rated games of 2023 so far are remasters and remakes, with Hi-Fi Rush acting as the only wholly original game to make the list so far.

We might only be in March, but it seems like we've already got tons of great games to be talking about, including Dead Space, Resident Evil 4, Hi-Fi Rush, Persona 4 Golden, and Metroid Prime Remastered. There is one commonality between those games, however - most of them are remakes and remasters.
