No Killzone 3? that game was awesome online.

wishingW3L4160d ago (Edited 4160d ago )

from all the PS3 exclusives KZ3 has the best MP after Warhawk and then Uncharted in 3rd place.

But it's really weird that this site didn't mention a single PS3 exclusive, specially Starhawk which has superior MP than all the games mentioned on this list!

AAACE54160d ago

Worst part about killzone is no one plays it online anymore. I originally got a ps3 to play killzone 2. But when i went online there were less than 100 people playing online. Later i downloaded the killzone 3 multiplayer when it was free. Played for a week then no one was there anymore. So i gave up!

Donnieboi4160d ago (Edited 4160d ago )

That list sucks, heres mine (and it includes more than dumbass fps shooter games):

Metal Gear Online (RIP)
Assassins Creed 3
Fat Princess
Gran Turismo 5
Uncharted 2 online
Uncharted 3 online (plays differently from uc2)
Far Cry 3 (reviews say its better than cod, and has map editer and split screen while online)
Starhawk
Killzone 2/3
Ps all stars (the kill death ratio style gameplay makes it feel more competitive)
Gotham city imposter's

Etcetera, etc.

We ps3 dudes got just as many Fps games as xbox, but no other
console can rival the variety in TYPES of genres we can playonline.

It is for these reasons that COD and other generic clones are not played as much on the ps3 as they are on xbox--because we got too many games to choose from in all shapes and flavors. This article failed to show this variety.

Killzone 2/3 are superior than anything I have played online. Warhawk/Starhawk right there too! Was there some sort of multi-console rule to this article? boardelands 1/2 are awesome too but come on.

KiLLUMiNATi_894160d ago (Edited 4160d ago )

AGREE.. I think besides BF3 killzone 3 beats all those games multiplayer wise... Wait no uncharted 2? I thought it was a unique multiplayer game!

INMATEofARKHAM4160d ago

It was highly unique and much beloved by its player base... but that player base was always insanely small. And without a decent sized player base you end up with a bunch of issues that mostly revolve around lag and the developer abandoning it for green pastures. (I don't truly blame ND for doing so, though I do feel they left the party earlier, but far too many maps were left with wall glitches in them.)

jukins4160d ago

yea no kz3 or warhawk/starhawk. I still play warhawk and i'd play kz3 if they had more operation maps. But those are by far better than most of the games on this list.

Killzone 2/3 all day. I'm sure most ps3 owners would agree.

bubblebeam4160d ago

Killzone 2, Resistance 1,2,3 (loved them), Starhawk, Uncharted 3.

Never really cared much for the multi-plats online, except for Bioshock 2 which was laggy.

VonBraunschweigg4160d ago (Edited 4160d ago )

What's with all the multiplats when you've got exclusives like MAG and Starhawk? Games that are unique and offer something not available anywhere else. MAG is still being played with a small but dedicated community, and the fun and diversity of Starhawk's multiplayer is off the charts.

Sizzon4160d ago (Edited 4160d ago )

Only PSABR being exclusive on that list...lol.

I would say Killzone 2 and 3 and Uncharted 2 and 3 offer some really fun and great multiplayer.

Loving classic mode in Uncharted 3.

andibandit4160d ago

I think the article is adressing the "Right now" moment and not "In the PS3's lifetime".
Some of the games you listed have a really meager online community.

Y_51504160d ago

I agree with you. Uncharted 2 and 3 was my go to multiplayer for years! Now I'm playing All Stars! :)

No starhawk? Im disappointed in the OPM staff.

Games with the dumbest NPCs

Non-playable characters in certain games are meme material, thanks to their foolish behavior. These are the big-budget games with the dumbest NPCs.

Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩

How did redfall not make the cut.

Every Bethesda game and Every Halo game. This list needed to have Cyberpunk somewhere.

My first thought was the safe rooms in the resident evil series. When you hear that enchanting music you know you’re safe.

Killer2020UK264d ago

I literally just came here to post this. That music in the Resi 1 safe rooms is playing in my head.

Rimeskeem263d ago

I was thinking TLOU work benches. Although I remember one time where it was a false security.

Perfect. 👌👌

I'd add the top of my highrise apartment in GTA Online. That calm, quiet peace, just knowing as soon as I step out that door I will be bombarded by 8 and 12 year olds calling each other n**** and f****, trolled by combat jets and rocket launchers.

The entire map of SotC is peaceful as hell. Used to just ride around exploring it.

mastershredder263d ago (Edited 263d ago )

Afterlife in Cyberpunk 2077 is a peaceful area? Erm, hands down and very hard to miss, Misty Olszewski's Esoterica is the absolute epitome of peaceful areas in that game.

raiden_188263d ago

The "last of us" deer location i found to be a welcoming respite. It was nice to not have someone trying to eat me.

RPGer263d ago

Kingdom Hearts tend to present half peaceful areas and most of them are amazing.

'Assassin’s Creed III': Ten Years Later

With the recent reveal of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and the promise that the series will return to its roots, there hasn’t been a better time to get stuck into Assassin’s Creed’s back catalog, whether it’s replaying an old favorite or getting lost in previously looked-over classic.

Ten years later, we miss the old you, Assassin's Creed.

Popsicle538d ago (Edited 538d ago )

I really enjoyed Assassins Creed 3. My only complaint was that I didn’t enjoy when I had to switch from Connor to Desmond. It’s a personal preference, but Connor’s story was just more fun for me.

On a side note, Black flag was the most enjoyable of the AC games I played.
