The Wii U queue has already started in London

Wii U isn't released until Friday but hardcore Nintendo fans have already started queuing to buy the console outside HMV in London's Oxford Street. Izzy Rahman has been camping with friends Sing Duong, Michael Djuma and Teddy Djuma outside HMV since Saturday night in order to become the first person in the UK to buy a Wii U.

Nice.

Happy for my friends across the pond getting ready to experience Mario in HD. I have Nintendo Land, Mario Bros U and Zombie U and like all three titles. Nintendo Land was the big surprise... I knew it would be fun, but it's even better than expected. My wife and I will play for hours on end.

Im guessing these guys dont have jobs?

iamnsuperman4166d ago (Edited 4166d ago )

Apparently "Sing, who has taken a week off work to be at the front of the queue". So this guy used his Holiday time/ no pay for a week to queue for a console that is fairly easy to pre order in most shops or online. I do worry about the lack of sanity

Abdou234166d ago

Why does it bother you ? a group of friends having a good time, why do you even care ?

Cyb3r4166d ago (Edited 4166d ago )

So how do these guys go to the bathroom when they have to??? I just hope its worth it in the end for them. I would go crazy of boredom within the first hour but I guess this world is full of all sorts

knocknock4166d ago

Lol why do ppl do this kind of thing, preorder like everyone else you bums...Lol

ElectricKaibutsu4166d ago

I preordered this time but I camped out for the Wii. Camping out is fun. It was like a Nintendo party. Some guys brought a generator, a TV, and a SNES and let people play. Everyone else was playing Mario Kart together on their DSs. Another guy was giving out beer to the over 21 crowd. It was good times.

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Cacabunga2d ago

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Stevonidas2d ago

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
