The Walking Dead: No Time Left Review – A Sad End [Gamesta]

Daav from Gamesta.com completes the series of Telltale's newest and most ambitious adventure to date. Unfortunately, The Walking Dead Episode 5: No Time Left justifies its name with a very minimal, hands-off experience to drive its final points home. The payback for that is an emotionally captivating conclusion with some answers and some well-handled mysteries still at large.

Thankfully I found this review. I was on all the edge from the other 30 plus reviews posting a 90+ average and thinking about skipping it, but this sealed the deal...no buy. /s

I kid. I love Tell Tale games and love this series most of all. They are the kings at episodic stories and TWD is the best of the bunch. I really enjoyed Back the the Future as well, but that was much more quirky. This one is emotional and deep.

Completely disagree with this review. Thought Episode 5 was a brilliantly intense and emotive ending to a fantastic series. Seriously, the final conclusion was one of the most unbelievable experiences I've ever had with a game.

I totally agree that it's emotive, powerfully gripping to the point of tears even. I mention it in the review.. But nothing excuses the fact that Ep5 is barely a game, almost not even. It's asking money to receive the ending. The series, as a whole, is a no brainer purchase, which is also mentioned.

I couldn't disagree with you more. Although you're welcome to your own opinion, the implications and consequences that this game brought following the earlier episodes, coupled with the potential markers for future episodes, provided me with an outstanding final episode.
I genuinely think that Gamesta approached this from completely the wrong angle, and if you're comparing this with a traditional COD style game, then you're on a hiding to nothing, as the walking dead is a completely different(more mature) animal.

There is always that one person trying to ruin the party.... the last episode is f'n amazing....

I think it is nice, but way too short compared to other episodes.

And the end is quite obvious, by the way.

The Walking Dead: Season 2 Episode 5 "No Going Back" Review | MMGN

Telltale Games have pulled out all the stops in No Going Back, with moments so powerful, so moving, that it will leave you with an emotional hangover afterwards. I wouldn't say it was as shocking as Season 1, but it was definitely worth playing for the powerful experience alone. It will manipulate your feelings and break your heart - a ride worth going on.
