The Walking Dead: A Game Like No Other - TheSixthAxis

"I was done with post-apocalyptic Zombie games forever. Zombies have entered interactive entertainment and infected us with a lust for killing these brain-damaged, blood-thirsty foes. We’ve fed them exactly what they wanted: not brains but sales. We’ve been the ones chomping the content up and, until recently, I really didn’t want to play yet another game including these creatures.

And then TellTale got involved. They’ve put out some good content in the past but absolutely nothing had prepared me for just how great their entry into The Walking Dead universe could be."

I have never actually played it before but I have watched the three chapters on youtube and the way they did the graphics, and the story was great but I would REALLY like to have a little bit more action in the series (not saying its horrible in any way). Plz put some guns or better weapons in the game!

It's a point and click adventure game. Asking it to have guns so you can pop some heads is like asking Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport to have an engaging story.

It's a different type of game, watching it on youtube rather than playing it kind of ruins the experience.

Their could be a lot longer episode scenes or more characteristics in the game

Finished it .. the story and character are excellent but don't expect anything else from the game , hope we see more good story like it but in better game type .

Telltale Games and the New Golden Standard for Storytelling

Before the announcement that a heavily narrative focussed Walking Dead video game was announced in 2012, Telltale games was a development studio that not particularly well known. Despite putting out other similar properties with Back to the Future: The Game and Jurassic Park: The Game, the products were largely met with a very mixed and ultimately tepid response from the public. The rampant acclaim and runaway success reached with The Walking Dead launched the developer into one of the most anticipated and favourable studios out there with one revolutionary product.

I think the walking dead story telling is amazing. I really love the games and think that they bring the respect of gaming story telling up in the world of entertainment in general :)
