OXCGN:
"The link between this game and its prequel is about as tenuous as the one between Black Ops and World at War.
About the only thing that really matters is that some of the same characters are in both – that’s it."
Following the Wii U and 3DS servers being taken offline, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Ghosts are officially dead.
Call of Duty players are jumping into Black Ops 2 for the final time before its Wii U servers go offline for good.
GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 leap up due to summer sales
Wow, good games never get old I guess.
CoD will always be a beast of a franchise, and how awesome is it that you can just boot it up or pop it into your Xbox and play, MS BC is really a neat feature.
I still think story is important to Call of Duty, despite the increased focus on multi.
I'm glad this one is good.
I don't buy the game for the single player, I must admit. I find it way too "hand holding" linear and back and forth 'jumpy' storytelling.
But the multi, and especially the fact it (unlike Medal of Honor) has local multi with so many options and bots, makes this a must buy.
This was the first Call of Duty I haven't purchased on release in years.
I've been hesitant due to the releases over the past few years.
I don't play CoD for multiplayer, as I feel there are other games that have better FPS mp offerings. I prefer the Battlefield type, having large open areas with vehicles and whatnot, and If I want more CQ action i'll play something like Halo.
I always played CoD for the campaign. Over time, I've personally felt that the campaign has played second fiddle to the multiplayer.
CoD isn't the only franchise to do this, a lot of titles are now focusing on mp content over singleplayer.
With so many other great games out, as well as coming out, I think I might give this a miss until it's cheaper down the line.
The Campaign was excellent, IMO
