Why Blood Money is Still the Best Hitman

MMGN: This week’s Hitman: Absolution has reviewed well enough, but it certainly hasn’t struck a chord with everyone who played it. Absolution is a major change from Blood Money in numerous fundamental ways, and has lost a lot of that game’s charm.

Without doubt. Fans needed blood money 2 not absolution.

Oh my God, Call of Duty is ruining people's minds, What does it even mean we need Blood Money 2 and not Absolution ? If they called it Blood Money 2 instead you would have been happy ?!

Ehhh, what does Hitman have to do with Call of Duty? A lot of games put a "2", Which, unless i'm mistaken, means it's a sequel.

The point was in the way Blood Money played as a game, not in the name. Previous Hitman entries all consisted multiple big setting in which you were to assassinate one or multiple targets with creativity. Absolution was far off from the previous entries and had just two levels comparable to those of Blood Money's.

Lame article that is pretty base with its views of Absolution. Both games are great.

Absolution is definitely a good game. Both are great games and i only hope they release a sequel that is as good and not long from now.

I can't believe it!

Absolution is a hell of a game, IO interactive stayed true to the series and didn't turn the game into a third person shooter, i guess you can't make everybody happy all of the time...

It's just like the other Hitman games, don't know what everybody is talking about. The game has multiple ways of going through a mission. Yeah some missions are linear, but those missions still give you multiple things to do, like traping people and etc. Plus you got Contract mode where you create your own targets!!! Fuck this article and play the game. Absolution is just as good as the rest of the Hitman games, my favorite one is Silent Assassin.

How IO turned Hitman around, from Absolution to World of Assassination

When Hitman 3 recently changed its name to Hitman World of Assassination, fans had no idea how meaningful the moment was. On the outside it looked like a simple thing: Hitman 3 would now be known by this name and include levels from Hitman 2 and 3 - the trilogy would all be in one place. But on the inside, at IO Interactive, much more was going on.

You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.

Hitman is, and has been, a remarkable series developed by some of the best. Some are better than others, but every Hitman is challenging and fun.

Sure, there have been some stumbles and fumbles, but always in pursuit of the perfect Hitman game. The most recent trilogy is a masterclass in level design.

I would love it if they rereleased Blood Money as DLC with upgraded visuals and with the modern controls.
