Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale Review | EDGE

EDGE: "There’s an unexpected clarity to solo play that’s lost amid the tumult of human competition, but what’s never obscured – and what stands as its great accomplishment – is its fond and intricate celebration of all things PlayStation."

from Edge it's like a 9. :D

Kingdom Come4170d ago

No, it's a 7. The whole anti-EDGE comments always perplex me. Yes, they're critical of games, however, that makes high scores more of an achievement, rewarding the efforts of great developers.

NeverEnding19894170d ago

@Blastoise

The amateur video comparing EDGE review scores proves Kingdom's point. They're critical.

Also, it doesn't matter who has an app on Xbox Live, there is no conspiracy against the PS3.

SoapShoes4170d ago

Yeah it's such an achievement when they give a game that's popular a good score when it's not, they just don't want to upset the publishers. It's been done time and time again by other websites and Edge included. *rollseyes*

Hicken4170d ago

Time and time again, there's been evidence. People have actually done charts on the exclusives for the various consoles for various sites, and Edge wasn't just consistently lower across the board, but EVEN lower for Sony exclusives.

It's not just conspiracy theory all the time.

smashcrashbash4170d ago

Though PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is a bit of a cult classic, it could have been a big hit if it launched in 2022 instead of 2012.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69519d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop519d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard518d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi518d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin518d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus526d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer525d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
