The Nasty Jokes Hitman: Absolution Didn’t Have To Make

Kotaku - Hitman: Absolution is a game that requires a lot of sneaking around, and like most sneaking games, you'll find yourself regularly incapacitating guards and stashing their bodies. Every time you stash a guard in closet, his body will slump standing up over to the left side of the enclosure.

Just like I said in my review. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed and thought it was a bit ridiculous.

Agreed. You are allowed to brutally murder people, but tell a joke and "oh no, the skies are raining down fire!".

Seriously. It's not even a joke that makes you listen to it. If you notice it again and again, why not just ignore it? God, I hate how people bitch and moan about the slightest things. You may not think it, but that is what leads to censorship, and people get offended etc.

In the words of HebrewHammer: Man Up!
Hold on, I want to be politically correct like the author of this article; AHEM.....Woman Up! (Yay, now no-one can complain.....but they will anyway WOOHOO!!)

On the bandwagon with HebrewHammer and bubblebeam. It's no different than people that game blowing the heads off of others but are afraid of the F word. Seriously, if that is their issue or in this case a few jokes then perhaps they should re-examine their selection of violent games as a pastime.

BTW bubble, it would have to be person up. As Carlin said, what do we call a man's man? An it's person? Or that thing in the street is a person hole cover? Let's get together an all sing For They're A Jolly Good Person.

I would say this is quite childish so saying that the writer needs to "man-up" is a bit wrong. This is something you would include if your 10. It looks bad on the developers really for having a lack of maturity. It's just not funny nor is it an image as a develop you want to portray

bubblebeam4167d ago

@iamsuperman

"This is something you would include if your 10."

So is the "I'm more mature than the rest of you" card. Point is, people never have a problem with blowing peoples heads up and other super violent things in games, and the author is bitching about a joke that you can otherwise ignore?

I think "brain up" would be more suitable but whatever......

Lol, saw the image & I had to read the article just to know what the heck's going on there!

Crazay4167d ago

Awwww muffin...You need some kleenex to get the sand out of your mangina?

Walk it off dude.

sorceror1714167d ago

To quote from the article: "My gripe isn't so much that this stuff is potentially offensive, it's just that it's kinda lazy and bad."

bubblebeam4167d ago

I still think it's funny that he uses "lazy". I thought that the putting the joke in there is more of a trouble than not having it in there, so it definitely isn't lazy. Unless they accidentally left it in there, which I highly doubt.

So many things in the world, and you gotta bitch about this? Man this guys life must be easy.

BananaEatingSquid4167d ago (Edited 4167d ago )

Lol, I didn't even notice that when playing the game!

Edit: Talking about the closet thing.

How IO turned Hitman around, from Absolution to World of Assassination

When Hitman 3 recently changed its name to Hitman World of Assassination, fans had no idea how meaningful the moment was. On the outside it looked like a simple thing: Hitman 3 would now be known by this name and include levels from Hitman 2 and 3 - the trilogy would all be in one place. But on the inside, at IO Interactive, much more was going on.

You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.

Hitman is, and has been, a remarkable series developed by some of the best. Some are better than others, but every Hitman is challenging and fun.

Sure, there have been some stumbles and fumbles, but always in pursuit of the perfect Hitman game. The most recent trilogy is a masterclass in level design.
