I know it cant be a 9 like dtoid gave it but an 8-8.5 seems right based on the beta impressions ive had n the review complaints ive seen.. im still buying it cuz its cross buy but i already know the presentational value isnt as good as it shouldve been.. Oh well, im sure DLC for it will make it a much better experience & its only $60 for both versions making it a great value for vita owners.. I will have it very soon but work & school is so deep right now so i havent even opened some of this yrs hottest titles yet.. I will be supporting PS Plus for another year & well scoring crossbuy titles..

First half of the review is complaining about the characters...

It was expected. i am basically ignoring any review that scores it based on the fact that it doesn't have Crash in it or continuously refers to SSB instead of reviewing the game in front of them. i already saw this coming a mile away and it won't sway me at all. I never saw a fighting game based on how many characters it had in it. i have seen games get higher scores then this and they had less then twenty. Really don't care if you disagree. It's stupid to lower a score because a game doesn't have the characters that you said you wanted in it.Then if i was a reviewer I should lower SSB score because it didn't have Mega Man, Firebrand, Simon Belmot or Maximo in it.

Why is it wrong to compare them? They are extremely similar games. Lots of reviewers are comparing Sonic Racing Transformed to Mario Kart. Is that also wrong?

Yes it's wrong, because journalist are suppose to review a product based on it's own merits, not what another game is doing. And Allstars is being unfairly judge as if it were Super Smash Bros. 4.

It's fine to compare two products, but when your entire review is about why Game X isn't like Game Y, then it's no longer a review.

Then you have complaints about the cast. It makes no sense. If Sony / Superbot couldn't get Crash / Spyro / etc... then they couldn't get them. And the characters who are there are solid. And no one can say that the SSB cast is amazing, because there's a large group of characters who are unknown amongst all but the most hardcore Nintendo fans (Marth, Mr. Game and Watch, Pit, Meta Knight, Falco, Ike, Ice Climbers, King Dee Dee Dee, Wolf, Olamar, Lucas, and potentially others are new to most people outside of the Nintendo fans).

Allstars is receive all kinds of unfair treatment, but these so called journalist.

Who cares about metro just seen them gave epic mickey 2/10 I really hate these reviewers only a dumbazz would sit there and follower any reviewer, and I believe there shouldn't be anymore reviews period in the gaming industry, and movie industry.

I've never played Epic Mickey, and I give it a 2/10, but yea like you said, nobody should be taking any review as the gospel.

I couldn't tell which game they were reviewing. And the gushing praise of Nintendo, in general, made their preference clear.

Nothing wrong with having a preference, but letting it color your review to such a level is pretty pathetic.

Personally I couldn't care less about Nintendo characters, so with using this guy's logic I should give SSB a similar score.

whenever I heard of this game, I knew there would be reviewers who would bash it simply because it isnt SSB, regardless of the game's merits. we all knew that there would be inevitable fanboy reviews. and this is the epitome of such a review

anyone who knows metro's track record should have seen this score coming from a mile away, given the fact that they are massive nintendo fanboys and typically rate PS3 games way below the metascore.

I've been comparing it to Super Smash Bros. and I think it's much better, to be honest. It's a much more refined fighting game. There are more moves, more combos, better level designs, and all-around better balancing.
