Looks like PC, PS3, 360 in that order. An overall technically sound entry from IO.

how do u figure? The reviewer said the ps3 looks blurry compared to the 360. Im no fanboy.. ill play it on pc. But u know.. wtf are u reading? lol... not the same article as me.

tinezedw4173d ago

Did you read the entire article? I don't think you did, they give the nod to the ps3,sorry to brake it to you.

PC is the best choice if you have a powerful gaming rig, while PS3 inches ahead by a nose as our console recommendation

straight from the article.........

Look at the bottom of the article it said "PC is the best choice if you have a powerful gaming rig, while PS3 inches ahead by a nose as our console recommendation." Read the whole article or don't bother commenting

Clearly.

From the article:

"PC is the best choice if you have a powerful gaming rig, while PS3 inches ahead by a nose as our console recommendation."

&
"However, on a purely visual level, we'd be inclined to give the PS3 game the nod here if you have the choice."

Kurylo3d4169d ago

yea but that comment is purely opinion. They talk about the bloom being less on the ps3.. more then likely cause the ps3 couldnt handle the correct bloom that the 360 and pc share. And they really gave no reason in teh article why they would say the ps3 would be better? They mention a bunch of technical faults of the ps3 version then say they give the nod to it... wtf? lol

P_Bomb4167d ago (Edited 4167d ago )

Read it again. Nowhere do they say that the PS3 hasn't got enough bloom, they say the 360 has too MUCH bloom.

It's not a 'technical fault' on the PS3 side as you say, they say it looks BETTER the way the PS3 used bloom, as it fit the aesthetic better and didn't crush details in bright areas, which were crushed on 360.

Other hit points include better edge smoothing and "higher quality normal maps and specular highlights on PS3", and "during some of the cut scenes we see the PS3 sporting higher resolution textures." Those are direct quotes. Not sure what you're 'wtf/lol' -ing over.

Watch the comparison video. Can someone explain to me why at 0:30 seconds in there are NO people present on the PS3 version while the 360 version is bustling? I have both consoles and was waiting for this comparison. Eurogamer recommends the PS3 version given the choice but I need to know what the heck I'm looking at in that scene.

How IO turned Hitman around, from Absolution to World of Assassination

When Hitman 3 recently changed its name to Hitman World of Assassination, fans had no idea how meaningful the moment was. On the outside it looked like a simple thing: Hitman 3 would now be known by this name and include levels from Hitman 2 and 3 - the trilogy would all be in one place. But on the inside, at IO Interactive, much more was going on.

You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.

Hitman is, and has been, a remarkable series developed by some of the best. Some are better than others, but every Hitman is challenging and fun.

Sure, there have been some stumbles and fumbles, but always in pursuit of the perfect Hitman game. The most recent trilogy is a masterclass in level design.
