Man breaks record for longest gaming session, clocks 122 hours

A Sydney-based sales manager called Okan Kaya has broken the record for the longest videogame marathon by playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for more than 122 hours.

Zuperman4174d ago

what does he get for playing that many hours?

iamgoatman4174d ago

Just to say he has, and have women run away in fear.

Even still, quite a feat.

probably a massive headache and/or fired from his job

He broke 2 records!

1. Longest gaming session.
2. World's daftest ****.

UltimateSin4174d ago

And a third (personal) record, longest time without masturbating.

I cant do longer than a few hours without feeling like crap. I need to take regular breaks or it isnt even enjoyable for me.

Blackdeath_6634174d ago

agreed, especially for a game like COD where more often than not you get frustrated with few hours of enjoyment. i would have gotten bored after 4 hours.

CoD like games that provide you beautiful frustration (sarcasm) don't last long. their like short burst of fun.

Other games that provide great experiences and are long, will make you play for hours.

Monster Hunter! Love this series, 100 hours is nothing to these games.

Edit- not 100 hours straight o.o but overall.

rezzah4174d ago

I can still do long hours, 4+ easily. A whole day though, maybe not anymore lol.

Onehandband1t4174d ago

Long I must admit, would of been better if he done it for charity or something as it seems a little sad to do it for self enjoyment. Shame I did not have a adjudicating guinness world record representative when I done 150 hours for charity. I suffer from insomnia so put my extended awake hours to a good cause. Little gutted as I would be the person N4G are talking about :(

People in a vegetable state having no life is questionable, especially since a life simply is through living.

iNathan4174d ago

Many people have died for doing this.

Double_O_Revan4174d ago

Seriously, Those whimpy Chinese keel over after only 50 hours. This guy is insane!

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
