Does Call Of Duty Decalssified live up to the COD name, Find out in this review by Smily

I was scared to get Call of Duty because of the negativity this game has been getting since it's announcement, with many gamers setting the games faith for doom.

After taking a deep breath I decided to purchase the game. After leaving the store and getting into my car, I slid the game into my Playstation Vita. Immediatly I was filled with enjoyment, fun, and smiles. This game is great and feels just like a Call of Duty is supposed to feel. I was playing Call Of Duty ON THE GO!

After playing Operations for a while I went to the McDonalds near by to play Multiplayer through WiFi. Joy and laughter was all you can hear, while i took down some opponents and gave some headshots.

The Story (Operations) mode is challenging when played on Veteran. Playing it on regular will be extremely easy. Some of the Enemy AI will move cover locations being much smarter than the developers last game, Resistance Burning Skies. Uncover the deniable operations that occurred between the original Call of Duty: Black Ops and this year's upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops II. (or on the toilet, which ever you prefer). Overall i give it a 7/10.

The Hostiles mode is not so great with the Enemy AI being very "retarted" they just stand there for seconds waiting for you to blast them in the face it is so easy I give it a 5/10.

Now for the Good part, Multiplayer mode, Utilize classic Call of Duty multiplayer features like Care Packages, Challenges, Create-a-Class, Killstreaks, Perks, Prestiging, XP and more, with modes such as Team Deathmatch, Kill confirmed, free for all, and more. This feels like a great call of duty game, the best way to describe this game is Call Of Duty 4 ModernWarfare and CODBlackOps1 had a baby named Call of Duty declassified, this has those 2 game vibes while playing and is a blast to play, ranking up online and creating your custom classes is just as great as any other call of duty, I give the multiplayer portion of this game a 9/10.

Graphics- The game looks great. The character animation is great. The textures are fantastic.

Featuring over 20 guns this game is ready for you to play for hours and hours. With 6 maps it only keeps you wanting more already. Hopefully DLC will help our need for more maps.

I do not understand why all the hate is on this game by the reviewers giving it scores under 7/10 which is the lowest this game should get. If they are reviewing they should be focused on the muliplayer in my opinion since that is what everyone is mainly focused on when it comes to call of duty. And to all the reviewers giving this a low score I ask why? This game is great and i hope this review helped some of you make your choice in purchasing this game or the vita itself so I can see you guys and girls online. Game On!

Do you think they will patch update how you can respawn right in front of someone shooting you? Or do some DLC for bigger maps?

Overall, I really liked the game too. Glad to see a positive review.

StraightPath4168d ago (Edited 4168d ago )

This is parody review his kidding you guys. If someone was really serious in giving a turd 9.5 they got bad taste n low expectations of games. ..@divine yes thi is the reality people are butthurt

Cam9774171d ago

Good review however; I just can't decide whether to buy BO or NFS:MW! They both look excellent games, that of course, makes it 10x harder to decide.

shammgod4171d ago

Try checking out some Black Friday deals. You might be able to get both for almost the same price. At least that is what I am hoping for :)

Of course, they will be hard copies and not the download version though.

HammadTheBeast4171d ago

I recommend NFS personally, Declassified is just rushed in my opinion.

Cam9774171d ago

It was developed in 5 months which is a joke. It's SONY's fault and Activision's fault.

juggulator4171d ago (Edited 4171d ago )

While I don't completely disagree I will say that as someone who bought this game along with BO2, it's worth no where near $50. I also think they could have come up with a better run mechanic cuz pressing the analog forward while pressing down on the dpad is a pain.I do blame myself as I never inquired about the price cuz I figured it's a vita game so it'll be $39.99 at most. Definitely learned my lesson. Check before u buy.

Angerfist4171d ago

lulz what a totally unbiased review

TheDivine4171d ago

OK. I better go buy this asap then. Didint realise this was one of the best games ever made. I was under the impresion it was a turd churned out by a horrible dev in 5 months. I thought it was under an hour long and its only real offering was the MP which is small, glitchy, and uses old maps shrunk down. Man was i wrong. Glad you PS guys got together and decided to quit bashing COD as tired played out dlc and start praising this as the instant classic it is. Now that its an exclusive Vita game with not even a quarter of the content, polish, and graphics its suddenly the best thing since cooked up crack. Cant wait to get this!!!

I might just buy 2 copies so i can not play the co-op it doesnt include and have twice the dissapointment. The hostiles are so jerky and the AI is so bad they may as well be zombies because i couldnt tell the difference anyways. SCORE!!!

5 Reasons Why You Should Buy The Playstation Vita

If you haven't bought a Vita before then read this article and be prepared to change your mind.

The first point is bad imo. I mena, you are right, the Vita's games are of course the main point to get it but::::::::::Golden Abyss doesn't hold a candle to the Ps3 installments. Don't insult Naughty dog by saying that. It's not the Vita's fault, it's the developers fault and maybe Sony's. That game has alot of little gimmicky things just to show off the Vita's Touch screen and Motion sensor./ Gravity Rush was a much better showcase of how these things should be used. To improve gameplay not to add an annoying gimmick. Assassins creed liberation and Cod are terrible too. Haven't played Lbp but I don't like the console versions anyway so I have no opinion on that(someone else can tell me if Lbp Vita is a good game, it's just not to my taste)/

All the Ps1 games and all are a good point though, + HD collections.

Points 2-3 are good, I would take out 4 for the System Software and layout, and the apps. I just love the way that is. Which surprised me as I thought I wouldn't like it.

OLED screen I have no opinion on...screens a screen. I like the touch screen on it though. Good quality.

KUV19774100d ago

It's very much a matter of taste. I very much enjoyed Golden Abyss and while graphically not as great as the PS3 versions I think it can really hold it's own gameplay-wise. Personally I think that the big versions get better and better graphically but unfortunately the writing gets weaker and introduces more and more logic holes and stupidities.
The only really annoying thing about Golden Abyss was the 'hold it to the light'-gimmick that apparently needs the sun to be in your living room to really work. (And Assassins Creed used that mechanic again and again as if it was their goal to really annoy the player).

Gravity Rush really targets a different audience, I think. While it is solid technically and from an artistic standpoint, I really didn't have a lot of fun with it and never even finished it, whereas I beat Uncharted Golden Abyss around 6 times (including 2 Crushing-Runs).

As far as Little Big Planet is concerned I really think it's the best LBP version available. I think the VITA features are really nicely incorporated without being annoying.

XB1_PS44100d ago

@KUV I couldn't get enough of gravity rush.

decrypt4100d ago (Edited 4100d ago )

Already have a great laptop for traveling.

Plays all the PS1, PS2 games :P even plays all of todays multiplats in 1080p(have over 150games on Steam).

No need for Vita as it has no games lol.

EddieNX 4100d ago

I agree , I have a Vita and Golden Abyss and all the other Uncharted games. People/ Hardcore sony fans consistently lie about the Graphics of Uncharted Golden abyss.

first of all its rendered at 540p and not 720p like Uncharted 1 , 2 0r 3. Second of all the framerate is a bit stuttuery and inconsistent. Third of all the general Graphical fidelity is no way near as good.

Now don't get me wrong , it's one of if not THE BEST looking handheld games. But does it compare to ps3 graphics ? No , i would say it's about 50% .

The Vita is an excellent handheld but you have to be carefull what you buy. It has awesome games like Uncharted GA , Gravity rush and Persona 4 golden , LBPV , etc.

Vita IMO needs a Gran turismo ASAP!!!!!!!!! or a GTA remake or spin off and a Metal gear solid Exclusive/spin off.

G20WLY4100d ago

If you must apply a percentage to the graphics of U:GA, with Uncharted 1 being 100%, I think 50% is far too harsh. It's closer than anyone dared hope it would be on a handheld for that money.

I think the Vita compares quite favourably to the PS3 in terms of graphical capabilities overall. It being a smaller (but beautiful) screen probably helps.

This bit might not be relevant to overall topic, but I'd be interested to know how your perentage comes out when comparing 3DS and WiiU?

cmpunk534100d ago

@G20WLY

Of course the vita is comparable and close to ps3's graphics.

That's why we keep getting titles like SLY, UMVC3, SFXT, R&CQforce, and the upcoming Malicious Rebirth game! It's basically the same game as the ps3 version.

check this out and see for yourself

calis4100d ago

None. They were selling it cheap (just the wifi version) for this weekend and I really wanted it for when I go away in July so I figured I would get it now.

I am a Plus member so I have Uncharted, Gravity Rush etc all good to go. I'll get some games over the next few months.

iamnsuperman4100d ago (Edited 4100d ago )

Get LittleBigPlannet Vita. Such an advancement in the series and fits the vita very well. Here is my review if you want more details ( http://n4g.com/channel/litt... ) but I would highly recommend it (I would say it is the best game on the Vita). Also Sound Shapes if you haven't played it on the PS3 already

LOGICWINS4100d ago

Considering LBP1 and LBP2 were both given away on PS Plus, its safe to assume that LBP Vita will be on there as well at some point.

calis4100d ago

Like Logic said, I think LBP will come to Plus so I'll sit on that for awhile.

Hoping Tiger Woods comes to Vita soon as well.

I'll get a Vita when it has some games I want.

G-cis4100d ago

why would anyone give this guy disagrees???

zerocrossing4100d ago

Kind of curious about that myself.

MikeMyers4100d ago (Edited 4100d ago )

Probably because many feel it already has games people 'should' want. Should is the key word since not everyone wants the same games. So in the eyes of others they could see this as trolling because to them there has to be at least some games that would satisfy anyone.

Now the problem with this is everyone should be entitled to their own opinion, but some people are way too serious when it comes to the gaming hobby. They see comments like this as a slap in the face when in reality they should just be concerned with their own enjoyment and not care what others think so much.

LOGICWINS4100d ago

"So in the eyes of others they could see this as trolling because to them there has to be at least some games that would satisfy anyone."

"Others" should realize that zerocrossing was giving an OP-I-NI-ON, hence his use of "I".

"Now the problem with this is everyone should be entitled to their own opinion, but some people are way too serious when it comes to the gaming hobby."

It's not that they take gaming too seriously. What happens is that people bring their non-gaming related issues and use gaming as a venting tool. Ever wonder why we have so many one bubble posters who always leave angry/obnoxious comments? People on the Internet have plenty of personal issues that we will never know about.

GribbleGrunger4100d ago (Edited 4100d ago )

I think a great deal of those people who have only one bubble are just thinking 'to hell with it!'. The less bubbles you have the less likely you are to want to try and have a conversation and that annoys even the saner posters on this site.

There should be a five bubble minimum, regardless of those people who just get overly personal. When I had six bubbles -- like yourself -- I took far more time with my posts because I knew I could have a proper conversation, but with two, that's impossible. With one bubble you end up just making a single statement in the knowledge that there is no possible way you can reply to someone who may disagree.

That's NOT how you run a forum. Giving the one bubble drones the power to take away your free speech is ridiculous. Give those drones five bubbles and perhaps they will eventually learn to converse in a more balanced manner. Some people never change, but it's better to suffer those people than make decent people suffer because of them.

MikeMyers4100d ago (Edited 4100d ago )

LOGICWINS writes,

You obviously have mixed personalities and various opinions all trying to mix with one another. The key is to try and be respectful with one another. Sometimes it can be hard and if that's the case it's probably best to not comment. You also have to consider the format, it's hard to read emotions and sometimes comments get taken out of context as well.

We should all be part of the same thought process and that is we all share a common theme and that is the enjoyment of gaming. One of the key problems is you start to section off those gamers into sub-communities, either purposely or by accident. Either way we should all be here because we enjoy gaming and related discussions. That is in a perfect world without the immaturity, the trolls and those looking to get a reaction. Not everything runs smoothly while playing with other people online and most certainly within forums. I'd love it for everyone to get along but that isn't going to happen.

GribbleGrunger wrote,

With one bubble you end up just making a single statement in the knowledge that there is no possible way you can reply to someone who may disagree."

I think the system could be improved as well but until that time we have to live within the rules set. I notice 6 people have me on ignore. That could be all my fault or it could be just a case those people don't think highly of my opinions. That's ok, I'm not here to please everyone and I certainly don't think I am better than anyone.

I was up to 5 bubbles and made a few distasteful comments and it cost me. So you try and adapt and think more before you comment and think of how others will take your comment. That's because we essentially police ourselves and the moderators have to make a decision based on what has been brought to their attention. It is much harder to earn bubbles than to lose them.

From the few comments I have seen from GribbleGrunger it is clear he is one who has taken a position and that is being much more likely to support Sony. With that also comes a downside, one many seem to have who are very pro-Sony supporters, and that is taking jabs at Microsoft. Nobody should have a problem with enjoying what Sony offers. I too enjoy my PS3 very much. The difference is I don't try and compensate my enjoyment of what Sony offers by being totally pessimistic when it comes to Microsoft. If I don't like what Microsoft is doing I certainly wouldn't go in Microsoft topics. So what ends up happening is you have people going into those articles with an attitude that may conflict with those who don't have an issue with Microsoft. Again it's all about respect. If you have a problem with someone then mark them and move on. Don't make it worse by sinking to their level.

@king. arguments? Please, post so all can see as it was more of a discussion around device capabilities and not an argument. Furthermore, it was 2 or 3 messages (from both of us) in the same thread 50 days ago.

Yet another generalisation. Already had G2 PM and admit he got it wrong with his claim.

Haki11124100d ago

USB2GO Cable and a ps3/ps2 controller with adapter is how i "Found" the sticks on my tablet

Kingthrash3604100d ago

@ nonsense gamer first, the last I heard an argument is when two party's disagree about the same subject. And dude I'm not even going to spark it again... You've gotta be 12 years old. Hope your enjoying your nexus... I still don't understand why you think carrying around a tablet and a ps3 controller and a charger for both in your pocket ( not to mention having to carry a ps3 to charge your controller ) portable....which brings me to
@ Haki read what I said about what portable is... Plus if you hooking a wire to you tablet to control games, then your playing an out dated console ... Handhelds are EXACTLY that... A handheld. So are you some how holding the controller and your tab at the same time or putting the tab in your lap or table or buying something to prop the screen up?? Just to play an emulator of sf2 champion edition? Too much work to own tablet/ps3 hybrid gaming system. Whatever you like tho its your way and no judgment coming from me. I'm just saying life can be easier... And cheaper by playing a real handheld... They come with controls built in... Buttons and all.

CommonSenseGamer4100d ago (Edited 4100d ago )

@king:
Again, your opinion again is full of assumptions and you present them as though they are fact. I've never once said I carry a SIXAXIS around, thats something you said I did. I do however use a SIXAXIS to game when I'm at home, mostly with my PS3. But so what if I did carry one around, would that be the end of the world or most inconvenient thing to have to do. Sure beats the Vita's built in controls.

As for having to carry around a charger for my tablet, don't have to actually as I can get 8-10 hours of use between charges. As for being 12, well, how old does that make you for even making such an arrogant an uninformed assumption?

By all means enjoy your Vita, my son enjoys his but is disappointed over the fact to so few people seem to be using it for multiplayer. My other son equally enjoys his Nexus for many of the same reasons the blogger behind this article enjoys his Vita, that is, backward compatibility through emulators. Music services, etc.

As for being cheaper...yes, my Nexus plus the 15 games has ended up being cheaper. Actually, my 15 games cost less than 1 Vita game and no, they are not all angry birds (which is free on Android). They are games that would Probably be welcomed on the Vita (e.g. Modern Combat 3, mini-motors, Bards Tale, Dead Space, etc). Already owned the SIXAXIS so no extra cost there.

Finally, again read though our PMs, they are a discussion of two points of view. If you consider them an argument then, my turn for an assumption, you must be very difficult to talk to in person and end up shouting and personalising everything.

TENTONGUN4100d ago

tablets can be played at home or when you leave the house. but wouldnt a ps3 and vita be more reasonable? seriously both together cost about the same as a top of the line tablet, maybe a lil more expensive than one idk. i just see tablets as app toys tbh.

How Low Can Sony Go?

The problem with a website that doesn't take itself seriously at all is that it's harder for readers to take their opinions seriously.

blumatt4217d ago

Yeah. How low can all these Sony hate articles go? That's the real question. LoL

It's gonna be ridiculous when the PS4 comes out cause this site is gonna be filled with hate articles.

Xof4217d ago

And the sad thing is Sony's learned so little from past mistakes we already know what the hate will be, specifically.

"It's too expensive!"

"It doesn't have backwards compatibility!"

"It has no (re: too few) games!"

And the sad thing is, all of those complaints will be legitimate. The sadder thing? They'll gradually become less legitimate, just as was the case with the PS3, PSP and Vita, but we'll keep seeing 'em crop up until the PS5.

When it will start all over again.

2pacalypsenow4217d ago

@MacDonagh lol Nintendo hasn't been a champ since 1995

MasterCornholio4217d ago

I agree that the Nintendo Wii was the most successful console out of the three but in my opinion it was a console designed for the casuals and not for the core. Plus add to the fact that due to its incredibly weak hardware many current gen games (like Borderlands 2 for example) couldn't be created on it.

Nintendo fans love praising games like Super Mario Galaxy which was fantastic. But how many people have a Wii and then a PS3 or a 360 for the games that don't come out on Nintendos console?

I honestly doubt that a serious gamer went through this generation with just a Wii.

I have to give it to Nintendo for making a great come back after the disaster of the GameCube and the N64.

MacDonagh4217d ago (Edited 4217d ago )

@gaminggrump123 Thank you for proving my point! Sales are what keeps companies alive and Sony haven't done nearly as well as Nintendo has in terms of selling hardware. You can bitch and whine about how the Wii isn't for the "hardcore" gamer or whatever you want, but Nintendo knew that the "hardcore" audience weren't interested in their console because of the negative preconception that it's for babies; so they broadened their demographic to include people that may have never previously played video games, introducing a previously untapped market that Sony and Microsoft were only too keen to take advantage of with their motion control peripherals with mixed results. It's also not true that there weren't any games for the "hardcore" player to appreciate either, but it's clear that some gamers have already made their mind up over Nintendo abandoning hardcore gamers. I'll also point out that Nintendo didn't abandon the hardcore; the hardcore abandoned Nintendo to merely satisfy their lust for cutting edge technology with a hefty price-tag. With the Wii U coming out, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo finish top again since they've locked down the handheld market and the Wii U will be a lot cheaper to make games for than your PS4s/Xbox720s.

@2pac Check the hardware units that have been shifted for both the Wii and the DS. That makes them the best-selling consoles of this generation. That makes them the champion or the leader of the video-game industry.

Skateboard4217d ago

WII is the champ of making soccer moms work out, what a champ.

ronin4life4217d ago

I have more real games for my Wii than my PS3. They are there if you bother to look. It's also telling that the Vita has 2 games taken from the Wii library... pretty good ones too.

In time, the Wii will be seen as the system it truly was. Just like the GC has.

stragomccloud4217d ago

I'd argue that gamers that played gamer games on the Wii(in addition to any other system, I personally play all of my consoles, the XBOX currently not getting as much love as my Wii/PS3) are the only real gamers. Because it's sickening how many amazing exclusive games the system had that were just completely ignored on the basis on band wagon Nintendo hate and an aversion to ED(Wii isn't actually SD, it's ED it has the same number of vertical pixels as SD but at least 20% more horizontal pixels because of the native 16:9).

I guarantee the Wii has the most under appreciated games of this generation.

Fragile Dreams
Madworld
Sonic Colors
No More Heroes/No More Heroes 2
Red Steel 2
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings
Zack and Wiki
Trauma Center

The great games may have been few and far between, but the games were extremely unique offerings with very different kinds of game play.

With Sony? Apparently it goes down to the grimy bits of someones shoes. There's not enough hate on Microsoft these days. I mean, where are the games? What was the last 'Great' game to come out on the 360? All game-related news I've been seeing is dominant in PS3 and PC and 2nd being Wii U due to it coming close(Even if a lot of them are 'Enhanced Ports'.

ronin4life4217d ago

Sony is in trouble financially and must take great strides to pull out, a situation MS is not in at this time.

Microsoft is facing its own crisis if it doesn't pick up the pace of actual game content however: irrelevancy. Which is incredibly dangerous for any company.

Anon19744217d ago

Actually, according to analysts Sony just has to wait for the FX markets to stabilize to return to profitability. There's no doubt that Sony could be more innovative, but S&P's is predicting a return to profit for Sony in FY13 and and increase in earnings per share of 2067% by FY14 based mainly on stabilizing currency markets. They don't think consumer spending is going to really go anywhere for the next few years. Same goes for all Japanese electronics makers. It's not exactly a secret. The impact of yen appreciation versus western currencies and it's effect on the Japanese electronics industry has been widely known and discussed for years now.

As for these doom articles that have cropped up over the last month, I just vote down the site so the quality filter might have a chance to weed out this nonsense and move on. I started to read them at first but you can usually tell with the first paragraph that 99% of these articles are baseless.

"People like to make fun of Sony saying their stupid or dumb."
Right off the bat it sounds like this guy's information source is chatter on his local 4th grade playground. And you don't need to read any further.

Also, as a rule, if an author posts anonymously, I just don't bother. If you don't have the grapes to put your name on the article you write, why should anyone take a word you say seriously?

A large part of Sony's problem is the image it's been given in the public. An image articles like these aren't helping to improve.

Systemwars is a gaming site(apparently), as is N4G; yet instead of focusing on how good Sony is on the gaming front, the vast majority of coverage is negative.

Sony releases the most powerful, most versatile handheld ever with a large amount of games and at a reasonable price?
Negative articles come out.

Sony outdoes Microsoft and Nintendo at E3? Negative articles come out.

Sony starts giving away free games?
Negative articles come out.

Sony announces new IPs, including one fans have been wanting for years?
Negative articles come out.

Sony has more games on display for their handheld at TGS, while neither Microsoft nor Nintendo even show up?
Negative articles come out.

Sony releases a hardware revision for their console that comes as a bundle with a great game?
Negative articles come out.

Sony announces 10 years of support for their struggling but still awesome handheld?
Negative articles come out.

Seriously, no matter what Sony ACTUALLY does, people will look down on them. It doesn't even matter that they make efforts to rectify their financial problems. Doesn't matter that most of those corrections need to be done OUTSIDE of their gaming division.

According to "gamers" and the "journalists" that cover gaming, all that matters is that Sony is failing.

Edit: Rebuttals

You don't NOT lose just because it was a subjective category. More people thought Sony won than the others. Sony won. End of story.

Despite? How? Was Nintendo the one showing support, or was it third parties that also showed games for other systems? Since Nintendo wasn't there...

Why believe Sony? Oh, maybe because that's what they do to their hardware: support it for long periods of time. No shit, it hasn't been supported for two; it's not even a year old yet, so saying that was just stupid.

You went searching for something fallacious in my comment and found... nothing. Try again.

@Darkride
Yes. But what people don't seem to grasp is "return to profitability" doesn't mean "return to form". Sony will be fine financially, but not without consequence. It would be impossible to take such steps and be unaffected in capability, even if only for a few years.

And to head this off: no, this is nothing like what Nintendo went through. They had one yearly loss in 30 years, which they recovered from as quickly as they suffered under it.(yes, even the GC was profitable for them in its entirety) What Sony has is years of losses and a games division that only recently started carrying the company.

@hicken
oh dear God... I can't care to pick apart every fallacious statement you made, but. let me just point out:
E3 Victor ownership is pretty subjective, seeing as how no one really gave any new news.

Nintendo hasn't attended TGS in years, if ever. DESPITE this, the 3ds still had more support than the Vita or any other console.

And why should anyone believe Sony claiming a 10 year cycle when they have hardly provided for 2?

The extremity of criticism and "hate" is annoying, but lets not ignore facts or start spewing crap of our own.

What people don't understand is that, we are talking about SONY. A multi-billion dollar company who knows better than us, and has been in the game longer than all of us.

All of these gaming websites and bloggers negatively pointing their finger at Sony without reason are just nobodies. That's why they make less than 30K a year writing and blogging about how much their life sucks.

ronin4life4217d ago

Sony has lost nearly 90% of their company in 10 years.

They definitely seem to know what they are doing...@.@

lodossrage4217d ago

Lost 90% of their company?

To who? Who did they sell 90% of their company to?

The picture itself looks legit, but the source... Not really

MattyG4234d ago

I don't know... it looks pretty real, but this info got passed through what, like three different Average Joe youtubers before it finally hit this website? That doesn't help it's credibility.

ZoyosJD4234d ago

It could easily be a screenshot or video from BLOPS 1 in fullscreen on the Vita.

Corner of screen where a site logo might be is cut off.

I'd say fake pic, but plausible senario.

Arent grenades supposed to show up like R BS? DONT SEE THAT. Im calling it being fake but I think there will be zombies in the game but that wont stop it from being rubbish
