Xbox 720 was needed for Hitman: Absolution, current systems held game back

Developers for some big game releases, like "Halo 4," who have commented on the performances of current consoles have had good things to say about it, but there was one developer who believed their AAA title needed the Xbox 720 and Playstation 4.

In short, IO Interactive realized too late that they messed up certain elements from past games and don't want to accept responsibility, and instead blame it on the current generation consoles for "limiting the game." I call bullsh*t on that one.

So, they made it PC only and made the game they wanted?

Oh, no, still released on PS3 and 360.

That would work actually. But 700k sales won't be enough for the game to profit.

They could have added these features to the PC version so the PC crowd would get a true feel for what they wanted to present. We would then be able to play that version as well to see what we are missing. As it is, this is just talk.

That's a bad excuse I think, I don't see other developers saying this. You make best with what you got. This ain't their first rodeo.

You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.

Hitman is, and has been, a remarkable series developed by some of the best. Some are better than others, but every Hitman is challenging and fun.

Sure, there have been some stumbles and fumbles, but always in pursuit of the perfect Hitman game. The most recent trilogy is a masterclass in level design.
