So far, super large patch sizes on Wii U OS and now super frequent updates with no repercussion to developers.

I can see Nintendo hasn't learned anything of their competitors. There is a reason why there is a price tag on patches, and if I wanted a PC experience, I would get PC with current technology.

I put up with console gaming, despite PCs better performance, because I don't want the headaches that comes with it.

There is a reason they put these costs on patches, otherwise they will just launch a game broken as it is and patch it later with no punishment. Now they atleast need to pay to fix their mistakes, now only a handful of games have day 1 patches, when they remove costs every game will have it.

seems only nintendo and valve make it free now.

It cost 40k for indie devs on xbox.
