So they are comparing graphics from high settings to low settings on the same pc? I bet PC wins on high settings. This website is stupid.

calibann4169d ago

I think you missed the point of the comparison entirely.

violents4169d ago

What exactly is the point then. Because in the article they managed to come to.the coclusion that on high setting the textures look better. Well what a deduction genius, im sure glad somebody confirmed that one.

calibann4169d ago

Haha. ''Breaking news, Hitman Absolution looks best when running on highest settings!''

It's not an article 'confirming' that the game looks better on high graphics, that WOULD be a stupid article. It's just interesting to see what graphical details get nerfed in the Low settings option.

ninjahunter4169d ago

The concept is that people can get an idea of how it will look if you play it on a lower end PC in comparison to a top notch PC. Not everyone wants a Balls to the wall desktop, Some people just throw extra money into a college laptop and use that for gaming. Its helpful when making the purchase decision to know what your dealing with.
Besides, comparing to win gets more childish every day.

violents4169d ago (Edited 4169d ago )

If you dont have the need or want for a machine that runs on the high end settings than why would the comparison matter. You should obviously know already your not going to have the best graphics/textures if you have to run the lower settings. It seems a person in this situation wouldnt care about the best looks anyway.

And the winning comment was sarcasm. its being compared to itself on the same platform, I thought that was pretty obvious.

ninjahunter4169d ago

Well, there are a lot of pc gamers who like to get the most out of their games on budget hardware. A lot of people dont just say "ok" and set it to low if they cant max a game out. Its not like console where your forced to take it up the butt. At least for me, if i cant get a game to look and run up to a certain standard i dont want it on my computer.

@violents and not ninjahunter:

It is so people can see the graphics at different settings and then determine if they can tolerate the fidelity based on their personal tastes. Then based on that make a purchase. Also, the PC version is currently 44.50 on pre-order via digital download. Some people have a PC and a console. This way they can decide which will be better for them and do a cost comparison / visual analysis based on pictures from the internet for the console. Why so negative? It's just an article helping people make informed decisions.

violents4169d ago

Im not being negative, it just seems stupid to me that someone made an entire article to tell people that it has better textures and such on high settings. Furthermore it seems rediculous to have a PC that you have to do research to figure out if your console version will look better. If the bar is that low on your computer why do you even have one? And for your logic to work out here they would have to have console screens to compare with as well and they dont.

frelyler4169d ago

@violents

If you read my comment it stated they could look online for console screen shots. Logic says if you type in the phrase console pics of in game footage for said game it will appear. As far as the bar being low on their system the answer is not everyone has a lot of money. Maybe their PC is able to make some games look better than it's console counterpart, while others look better on their console. I'm sorry to disagree but your comment oozes negativity.

How IO turned Hitman around, from Absolution to World of Assassination

When Hitman 3 recently changed its name to Hitman World of Assassination, fans had no idea how meaningful the moment was. On the outside it looked like a simple thing: Hitman 3 would now be known by this name and include levels from Hitman 2 and 3 - the trilogy would all be in one place. But on the inside, at IO Interactive, much more was going on.

You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.

Hitman is, and has been, a remarkable series developed by some of the best. Some are better than others, but every Hitman is challenging and fun.

Sure, there have been some stumbles and fumbles, but always in pursuit of the perfect Hitman game. The most recent trilogy is a masterclass in level design.
