Square Enix promises more on Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII soon

After taking a bit of a hiatus, it seems the Lightning Returns hype machine is ready to go once again.

XIII would not be so bad if they made it more like an RPG (open world with more side quests and freedom) and less like an adventure game.

True. It wouldn't be. It's one of the best looking games I have ever seen or played. But at the end of the day it is shallow and hogs the SE development space. We are working on a trilogy on one RPG and it's getting tiresome. Lightning isn't a great character and I don't see the appeal in her or the story itself. We have had over 10 KH spinoffs since then and now even more with the HD remakes, but still now 3rd full installment. I'm ready for something else from Square.

I wasn't aware anyone was asking for more info on this game except/unless it was an announcement of its cancellation. SE, you know what we really want information on. You know we want Versus XIII. So when are you going to come forward and admit the truth about that game? We don't care about Lightning, we don't care about your handheld remakes, we want Versus XIII and FFXHD. 13 is the worst final fantasy they've ever made, and they give it TWO sequels, just facepalm, Square have become one of the worst developers, and they used to be my favourite, ff 4 5 6 7 8 are still some of my favourite games ever, but nope, they make a linear corridor crawler with horrible combat and bland boring characters in 13 and for some reason continue to make sequels to this piece of crap.

I did enjoy FF-XIII,I also like the FF-XIII character Lightning.I do want to play this new Lightning game but I must say the people that run Square are definitely in their own world,they obviously see Lightning as some Muse or Goddess which makes them seem delusional that they don't get the fact that much of Square's fanbase want no part of this new game & they want news about FFvsXIII,KH3,FFXV or even a new rpg.I know the people at Square in the USA,Europe & Japan read alot of these gaming forums & read what people are saying.Square better snap out of it!!

I bet you that Nomura has a ton of things to reveal about FFvs13 but is under a 'gag order' by Squarenix higher ups. I would not be surprised if FFvs.13 is Nomura's last game at the company cause he sure has put up with a lot of sh*t to continue working there.

For some strange reason they are so fixated & convinced since Final Fantasy 13 debut that there was nothing wrong with the game & the high sales it received was proof that the people want more of the series. That the development of that game was flawless & that people want to see more of the characters since we bought it in droves.
