Sony has put together a ragtag crew of characters for its upcoming brawler. Some of them are right at home pummeling opponents. Others? Not so much. Let the praise/mocking begin.
I don't play a lot of fighting games, but I do know a thing or two about breaking down the best and worst characters in games, which is exactly what PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale needs. Seriously, did anyone vet this list of fighters? It's just plain irresponsible to march some of these contenders to their certain doom. But before we get to the losers, let's take a look at the fighters you're going to want to make a mad dash for at the character-select screen.
While Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale didn't get the best review, there are still some aspects of the game that deserve some credit.
Though PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is a bit of a cult classic, it could have been a big hit if it launched in 2022 instead of 2012.
It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.
Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?
It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.
I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.
I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.
Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
Dont think their is a worst they all look pretty balanced. Sackboy is extremely unique with his fighting style, and his lvl 3 is killer because besides killing opponents you can get items and AP.

People are so dumb. the comments on the site are hilarious. The guy wasn't saying that they were the worst fighters to be chosen. He was saying that normally against certain characters in any other situation they wouldn't stand a chance. Parappa and Fat Princess in PASBR fight just fine against the others. I have constantly beaten Kratos with FP with no deaths. He was laughing at the obscurity of matching cutesy and cartoony characters against killing machines. But of course as all modern gamers do they make it an opportunity to spew hate instead.
I could make jokes about Snake being put up against so many SSB characters and how he could easily put a bullet in most of their heads and no one would get the humor in it.I mean how lame can you be.No where in the article did he mention anything about imbalance or effectiveness of the character. Sackboy or Fat Princess's supers can kill just as well as anyone else.Do you honestly think that Kratos being a Spartan warrior or Big Daddy being a metal giant will stop him from being killed by FP's chicken attack or Parappa's skateboard. Because if that is really what the author was getting at that is really stupid.
