The art style of the game doesn't translate to pretty, shiny, colourful graphics. Ubisoft even went as far to say that they wanted the game to look like "dirt". It's a post-apocalyptic world where everything is destroyed. Everything is going to look dark, dull, and muddy. Check out the lighting effects in the game which are very atmospheric.

Sure the textures aren't of the highest resolution, but the game still looks amazing regardless. And some screenshots don't do the game justice.

If there weren't already a ton of "post-apocalyptic" games on the market I might have agreed with you, Neonrider. Zombie U looks like a HD version of a Wii game. There is absolutely nothing found in those screen shots "to die for" or even get mildly excited for.

When someone makes a gameplay article we can discuss that.

yeah well that still doesn't stop like 90% of all gaming sites from proclaiming that this game is excellent and exactly what is needed out of a survival horror.

These are very old shots because look on wiiz.fr and the game looks amazing plus i dont think these are in HD either the nursery looks like a photo realistic nursery with at least 10 times the amount of on screen objects pin sharp.

Looks almost as good as few years old game: Dead Island which is free-roaming and multiplatform game.

I've got this pre-ordered so maybe I'm looking at the screenshots through rose-tinted specs but personally, I DO see some nice graphics in ZombieU. The character models aren't much to write home about but the lighting, bloom and particle effects look really nice and the framerate is a nice stable 60FPS... For a 1st gen title I think it looks pretty good and bodes well for when developers get to grips with the Wii U.

Ubisoft said it took just over a year to make unlike uncharted which took 3 with a bigger team so they havnt done that bad realy in my opinion. it will take another year or two before we see anything substantial as devs are still working on next gen games. all launch games are rushed to get them to market on time. wait for a sequel then see what it can do. especaily when released this far infront of other console. devs arnt going to spend the time and money until they know there investments will pay off. besides its a game which is ment to be fun and this certainly looks it. resi 6 looks amazing but plays shit I still prefer 2 and 3 so what does that say.
