DSOGaming writes: "Amazing news for all indie fans, as StarForge has reached its crowd-funding goal. StarForge is a survival game that is inspired by Halo, Warcraft 3 and Minecraft."
1RBC: This week in gaming, Starforge was abandoned by its developers, details about the pricing of the Nintendo Switch's online multiplayer service were unveiled, ZeniMax has been awarded $500 million in their lawsuit against Oculus VR and Namco founder Masaya Nakamura has passed away- all this and more on this week's episode of 1RBC Gaming Weekly.
Games developer Code Hatch has pulled their game StarForge from Steam and released a free DRM-free version of the title on their website.
Gale writes - "Basically, this is what happens when you’re not careful with the way you’re developing your game. While I have no intention on going into the matters of the developers themselves, I have to say that they clearly went way over their heads with this project. What started out as an incredibly potent project everybody talked about, turned into an Early Access nightmare, with patches removing interesting features and bugging the game further into oblivion. It’s important for you to understand that there was once a time when Starforge looked absolutely amazing, deal-breaking even."
I would call a good review of the game. One of my bad choices I wish I could reverse.
We NEED to fund this thing all the way... Just look at those amazing creation goals they have set! Procedural Horror, Liquids and Lava, Companion AI, Dynamic Ecosystem, Doomsday Events, Procedural Spaceships and building your own, and if it gets to the max goal, being able to go to other randomly generated planets without any load screens.
All of that sounds so freaking amazing, I already contributed, hopefully more people do too!
wow this is some great news better than the cod articles that have been popping up
