Wii U is Literally Two Systems in One

So does that mean that the first generation ps3 is 3 console in one??? It could play psone, ps2, and ps3 games.

The difference here is that the Wii hardware or code is built into the Wii U. While that was once true of the PS3 it is now done completely by software emulation and you have to wait for Sony to put it up for sale.

With Wii U you simply need to buy the game and its certain to work in your Wii U..

Tell you what throw a PS2 disc in your PS3 and post a video and I'll admit you are right but we both know not every PS2 game is compatable with PS3 and it doesnt read PS2 discs. Only the 60gigs had any type of BC but that got ripped out years ago.

I have a 60 gig right here so i can pop any ps1 or 2 disk in and play but that wasnt what my post was about lk up there said you couldnt use older controllers and memory cards on the original ps3 but you could, all you needed was an adaptor. Now down boy. I wasnt putting down the wii u. I like it and will own one very soon.

How long is the boot up for this mode? Seamless i hope cuz thats pretty awesome to keep the nostalgia there

Divine is always looking for anything no matter how trivial to trash Nintendo for. If the WIi booted in 15 seconds but the PS3 booted in 30, it would some how be twisted by him so that Sony would be superior.. Vita has no games but its worth the wait, yet he wants 50 exlcusives on Wii U before it launches

I'd rather pay less and not get a Wii built in.
Or they could have it run the Wii games in a mode that isn't just 1-1 replicating the original console and run the games better.

At least we can hack it though.
