Team Ninja On Wii U Hardware, Bringing QTE Free Ninja Gaiden 3 To PS3 & 360

Siliconera:Team Ninja is one of the early third party Wii U developers and when we met with studio head Yosuke Hayashi we asked him we he thought about Nintendo’s new console.

The entire article they treated the game like a full third party game without mentioning that Nintendo published this additional content title.

Yet Hayashi himself goes to say that they are looking into the idea of bringing this content over.

and dont forget... MS published NG2, and that came to the PS3 and is now coming to the PSV.

It's still about money, so unless Nintendo invested in this version I expect these new additions to somehow make it over to the other systems.

What people often neglect is the technical abilities on the Wii U and how it compares to the other consoles, and that is the GamePad. Some games struggle in splitscreen on existing consoles because it has to do more processing. I imagine the GamePad also uses more processing power in order to do two separate functions at once.

Nintendo is publishing this version, so yes they invested money into it. Just because the developer says they are "looking into ways" doesn't mean it is going to happen. I'm sure the folks over at Bethesda are looking at DLC for Skyrim on the PS3, but guess what, it doesn't look good their either.

Honestly, I believe the developer is saying this so as to not come across as biased. It's not like he can say "Sorry MS and Sony fans that we gave you a crappy version, but you're stuck with that until NG4 comes out."

MikeMyers4171d ago

Ninja Gaiden II ended up being on the PS3 even though it too was published by Microsoft. It just used a different name, Ninja Gaiden Sigma II. Ninja Gaiden 3 was already available on the PS3 and Xbox 360, not sure what's stopping them from adding new content and an update.

Team Ninja can GTFOH!

They ruined Ninja Gaiden, they cant be forgiven for that.

Bring back Tomonobu Itagaki, Fire the damn fools that fired him.

Then, Fire the Idiot that came up with the QTE's, then Fire the A** that allowed that POS Ninja Gaiden 3 to go to print!

Then Fire himself for saying in this article "he didn't want to disappoint NG fans"?????WHAT!!!TOOO LATE!

nukeitall4172d ago

I soo AGREE!!!

Word to you motha!

Bring Itagaki back or better yet, somebody please fund Devils Third and make sure it is released. MG Rising in the meanwhile.

wishingW3L4172d ago

They are only removing the QTE's which is great but the game will still be missing on tons of stuff like:

dismembering
obligeration techniques
no advance UT by absorbing orbs
only 1 ninpo
poor selection of weapons
no store
no items
no lvl up system for the weapons

And all of this will be on the Wii U version plus Ayane and the other girls from prior games will be playable too.

dragonrage004172d ago

Dismemberment is back on razors edge. And the game brings back most, if not all weapons from NG2. Check your facts pal.

dragonrage004172d ago

Ignore the prior post, I didnt check the last line, and I thought you were reffering to razors edge. My bad. Now I agree with you 100% :)

MegaLagann4172d ago

Everything you just mentioned they're bringing back or fixing with Razor's Edge.

microgenius4172d ago

they transformed one of the best hack n slash titles to shit
sigh

Sadly it's not going to make the game that much better.

Team Ninja Doesn't Get Enough Credit For Its Stories

Saad from eXputer: "Team Ninja's stories may not appeal to everyone due to their barebones nature but they deserve credit for being fun."

mastershredder26d ago (Edited 26d ago )

Exputer dude says Team Ninja needs more credit for their stories (what their known for) and credit for being fun (also known for challenging and fun gameplay). Team Ninja gets a LOT of credit. That's why they keep making games. You just can't expect everyone to award them the attention-level and regard that you think they deserve.

"I’m aware that some things are often not for everyone. Not because someone is actively gatekeeping but due to the product or premise failing to appeal to the masses" - Hmmm l dunno, sounds kinda like we are about to go for a cruise down gatekeeper blvd to me.

Takeaway, Exputer as a pimple gaming journal site that should not be concerned about the recognition standards of a studio they have zero involvement in. You perspective is outsider and totally disconnected from reality as far as how the industry sees them.

Takeaway 2, Exputer is only in about a generation deep into Team Ninja. Posers. Take your gate keepy BS and shove it. We know what makes team ninja great and they are doing just fine doing what THEY do.

Every branch under Koei Tecmo is talented I am a big fan of theirs no matter what the game is or who makes it.

GoodGuy0926d ago (Edited 26d ago )

I thought Nioh 1+2's stories were fine, nothing amazing but they kept me interested. William and the Protag in 2 were pretty cool. Wo Long was ok I guess but it just felt like another retelling of the three kingdoms again which we've seen told so much in video games and especially dynasty warriors.

Where is a new DEAD OR ALIVE !!!!
That is the only game we care about from Team Ninja 😂

Team Ninja say Rise of the Ronin will have multiple difficulty options

Rise of the Ronin's difficulty options include Narrative, Intermediate and Hard. As the name suggests, Narrative mode is for players who just want to experience the story without any serious combat. Intermediate is your standard medium difficulty that will provide some challenge while Hard is in line with Team Ninja's previous games like Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Ghost of Tsushima... your move!

goldwyncq128d ago (Edited 128d ago )

The visuals seem somewhat unpolished and looks like from a last gen game. I wouldn’t mind a delay.

Andrew336128d ago

A game doesn't need bleeding edge visuals to be good.

goldwyncq128d ago

Ghost of Tsushima did not have the best graphics quality compared to other PS exclusives but the beautiful art style made it stand out. This game just looks generic in comparison.
