I’ve split up this review in to different categories to directly compare certain aspects of both FIFA13 and PES13 (Pro Evolution Soccer 13).
We’ll start off with the what makes these football titles tick, the gameplay, as without it everything else practically falls apart.
Which of the two wins the 2012 Premiership?"
Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Entire shelves filled with decade-old FIFA and PES games spread across a dozen formats. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."
Just who is buying FIFA 13 on Wii U? We may never know, but there are more people buying that than there are Bayonetta 2 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.
Sonic Boom is riding off the popularity of the TV show; it's a bad game.
And as for FIFA?
Well, guess that goes to show that there's a lot of older gamers on Wii U that wanted FIFA, then; sports games generally do out-sell action games, and Platinum isn't known for large sales in the first place.
I'm not worried for Bayonetta. It'll hit that 1M mark by the middle of next year, surely, at its current pace.

Fifa still seems a bit more casual friendly, so I'll go with that one...
I'm actually surprised a bit that both can keep doing an annual title.
So many other sports games seem to be struggling.
Never been much of a fan of sports games, but the tech behind this year's FIFA is interesting.
PES cover is way cooler
