I want THW to survive but let's be real with under $100 million in cash remaining and going down each day I don't see them making pass next 6 months. They just don't need one big hit they need 3-4 big hits and I am talking abut each game selling minimum 5 and some even 8-10 p,us million

The real question people should be asking is which publisher they want which can buy THQ. THQ has IP's that others will want. But just like UFC I think THQ will start to loose it's grip.

What's truely sad is this over the last 1 year THQ has actually changed and trying to go away from licensed games and more towards quality AAA titles.

I hope I am dead 100% wrong I rather be wrong on this than right because I also want saints row, darrksiders 3,wwe,metro,company of heros to continue but right now it's not looking good

I say EA,activision,Sony,MS. One of these 4 may play to get THQ if it comes to that

"As at the end of this quarter (Dec 31) they will be projected to be at a loss of $56 million dollars ..."

"EA Posts $381 Million Loss"

EA hasn't made any money is years. Where are all the "EA is going bankrupt" articles?

taquito4184d ago

when a corporation reports a "loss" of 381 million, it doesn't mean they are 381 million in the hole, it means they thought they would make 681 million and only made 300 million, hence a 381 million loss.

you don't honestly think every time you hear this type of statement that these companies are actually losing money?

doctorstrange4184d ago

I'll miss THQ if they go, I've got some fond memories.

Foolsjoker4184d ago

They had some of the best wrestling games on the N64, I still miss those days.

knifefight4184d ago

Hell yeah, my brother and I would rent an N64 (back when you could rent consoles, lulz) with WCW Revenge whenever the cousins would come over. Some fun nights.

Foolsjoker4184d ago (Edited 4184d ago )

Yeah, back when they would give you a console in a briefcase looking thing.

So much fun WCW Vs. NWO: World Tour, WCW: Revenge, WWF Wrestlemania 2000.

ftwrthtx4184d ago

I would hate to see them go. Hopefully just a restructuring is in order.

NYC_Gamer4184d ago (Edited 4184d ago )

THQ is almost dead...The whole company right now is only worth 7-10 million dollars plus share holders are running away....It's looking real doubtful for THQ.

Slightly disappointing game but Wo Long had a good creator. I was impressed by Oblivion back in what 05, 06? But the worst i have ever seen, clearly, Valheim.

ModsDoBetter359d ago

What was up with Wo Long?

Not looked at any reviews and did download it on my Xbox before I sold the console but never got around to playing it. Saw it drop in price on PS5 and was thinking of picking it up.

RE: Character creation

Oblivion hold a special place for me, when it came out on PS3, it was the first game of its kind that I had played and the character creator took was amazing.

I do like Monster Hunter: World & FFXIV, personally.
Cyberpunk did good in that department, despite its numerous flaws.

IamTylerDurden1359d ago

I played Oblivion day 1 on 360 and was impressed with the creator. Damn near 20 yrs ago, it was impressive at the time. Special game, unfortunately 90% of current gamers on social media have not a clue about the older stuff. Elder Scrolls is just Skyrim to many. They know not of Gothic and the old guard that paved the way. Flimsy ass rhetoric and recycled opinions about the same bs is what garners attention. Meme culture. Insight and intellect hold no place on the current day internet. Fuck likes, follows, BS. I say what i believe is relevant, what i'm interested in, and following means fuck all bc i don't respect 99% of the ppl online anyway.

For the "TLDR" bs. I'ma not space it out on purpose. Fuck you very much folks.

isarai360d ago (Edited 360d ago )

Honestly the one I remember being easiest and flexible enough to make any character I imagined was the PS2 WWE games, and Saints Row 2. I did really enjoy Dragons dogmas character creation too

IamTylerDurden1359d ago (Edited 359d ago )

I was gonna mention Black Desert but the game is horrible so...

Creator was the best part.

Lol CP 2077 is one of the easiest and less detailed editors around. It's all a mish-mash of presets.

Honorable mention to Drive Clubs Ferrari Fxx-K. Should be there over Horizon.

The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak from the Gran Turismo series

Nissan Skyline from Need for Speed Underground

Motorcycle Steamroller from Dead Rising 3

And finally a car you never drive but saves your ass over and over : Honey Badger from COD MW2

Gardenia464d ago

I was thinking of Mad Max. That V8 felt really good to drive around in, especially with upgrades.

dumahim464d ago

No one liked the Batmobile in Arkham Knight. Top 10?

toxic-inferno463d ago

I don't know... It was a strange addition to the game, and the parts of the game where you had to fight in it were tedious. But driving it around Gotham felt brilliant.

Volition's Saints Row 4 PC upgrade was meant to be a make-good, but it broke the game instead

Remember this year's Saints Row(opens in new tab)? Volition would probably prefer that you didn't, which might go some way to explaining why the studio recently decided to upgrade everyone's copy of Saints Row 4(opens in new tab) to its full-fat Re-elected Edition, containing all the game's story and cosmetic DLC and even introducing cross-play between Steam, Epic, and GOG versions of the game.

Unfortunately, that upgrade seems to have backfired, and players now report a myriad of bugs with their new version of SR4. Both the Saints Row Steam forums(opens in new tab) and subreddit(opens in new tab) are filled with players complaining of broken saves, crashes, and mods failing to function. It's also received a few hundred negative Steam reviews(opens in new tab) since the update. If it's succeeded in washing the taste of Saints Row (2022) out of players' mouths, it's only because it tastes even worse.

crazyCoconuts493d ago

I wonder if Volition's getting reorged under Gearbox impacted the quality of their release.

jeromeface492d ago

i can't help but laugh at this comment. Gearbox can't even run themselves.
