GTA V fans angry at delayed trailer - lash out at Rockstar

"Entititlement, thy name is gamer. I'm not excluding myself from this discussion, but the current state of affairs in gaming is quite sad. Yes, gaming is an entertainment business, but it seems that we far too often forget that businesses have to operate, quite frankly, in a business manner. More importantly, those businesses are operated by humans with needs apart from the gaming industry, and that's a point we, as well as fans of other entertainment genres, seem to forget often.

If you need proof, take a look at the comments that are appearing all over Rockstar's official forums."

i don't understand the title lol
anyway if we wated for a year how hard can it be to wait for a little while?

nrvalleytime4185d ago

Haha it's just a little commentary on how we can be so in arms for something like a trailer. It's coming, and we can be patient. Especially in light of what's happened with the Hurricane.

SilentNegotiator4185d ago (Edited 4185d ago )

Who the heck cares what some angry forum goers spat out?

Do we really need an article every time someone says something in a forum?

Dee_914185d ago

*gasp!
the gaming community is filled with a bunch of whiny kids? what a shock
make an article about it

nukeitall4185d ago

You know how big a game is going to be when fans can't even wait to see a trailer. They don't care about a natural disaster hitting you and all they want is the god dang trailer!!! :0

Dang you R*!

CraigandDayDay4185d ago

Screw the delayed trailer. I want the GAME to come out. LoL

My Anticipated Game for 2013. GTA V

Rockstar states: “…You may not realise this but our entire New York office is still without power which, as you might imagine, is making it difficult to carry out our work as normal. …No further information available right now, but we hope to be fully operational again next week.”

I think the article is making a few upset fans out to be these massive group of horrible souless people.

As I've said before what I'm ticked off about the most is they knew there was a massive storm coming which could possibly wipe power out why didn't they move the trailer to one of their many other studios via post or email. I live in England and have heard about this storm a week before it happened.

I mean no offense, not seen all the flooding pictures from England where it's up to phone boxes and cars are floating around, killing a lot of people....yeah thats our SUMMER.

Well done xplo...you are now the most immature person on the site.

<Claps>

Can't wait to see you bubbled down :)

Good Luck

deep_fried_bum_cake4185d ago (Edited 4185d ago )

Yes, he is pretty immature as he could have put that without all of the swearing and the personal attack. You are also pretty immature though as you could have taken the high road and not had a comment with a sarcastic clap and a wish for him to be bubbled down.

Your comment is pretty stupid though, you shouldn't compare a hurricane which caused widespread destruction and dozens of deaths to the sort of floods we get in Britain which cause one or two deaths from people who stand next to swollen rivers and gives people soggy carpets in their houses.

And xplo's point about not moving it about studios is a good one.

On topic
What does this matter, it's only a trailer, people should learn to be more patient.

below
Yeah I do read, my comment was a pretty good summing up of the yearly British flooding I would say.

I would say that the American approach to it has been pretty accurate to the situation. They say that it'll take months to get some things back to normal and I would agree with that.

Jinkies4185d ago

@deep_fried_bum_cake

A couple of deaths and a soggy carpet....are you serious, wow, do you not read. We've had our fair share of deaths, not as many but still it's every year we get floods in most part of the UK. New York acts as if it was the end of the world

camel_toad4185d ago

This sounds like a "my disaster is bigger than yours" conversation.

Mayan civilization FTW!

deep_fried_bum_cake4185d ago

camel_toad

Mayans? That's cute, I think the dinosaurs may have something to say about that though. Now that was a disaster.

CalvinKlein4185d ago

who gives a shit about a GTA 5 trailer geez.

Its not like you can play the trailer or something. Gamers are some of the most whiny little biatches, WAAAAA WHERES MY TRAILER.

I live in FL and see lots of hurricanes and even when they are not super devestating they cause lots of damage, kill people, cause flooding, knock down power lines and trees, destroy property. And that is just the small ones regardless of how powerfull they are even.

People cant expect them to work like everything is normal. Thy may not even be able to get to work or maybe one of their family members is dead or hurt.

It is hard to get back to work full strength after something like this happens because everyone at R* is effected at different levels and everyone will have to take care of their family and property before returning. They also need clear roads, working cars and power to be able to work again and not all of them may have that yet.

Do people really have no lives that they throw a fit because a TRAILER wasnt released on time.

camel_toad4185d ago

@deep_fried_bum_cake

You got me there. I would have loved to have seen the dinosaurs' blogs and Facebook postings back then though. Too bad all of their computers were destroyed along with them.

Stupid catastrophes. Always ruining stuff.

jony_dols4185d ago

Yay! I was wondering when the pseudoscience 2012 idiot would show up!

guys im located right near R* in NYC and we have no power, everything is flooded. this is the worst flood NYC, long island and much more have ever seen. to the author of the R* post, shame on you, you look like a real moron. p

hankmoody4185d ago

I live uptown in NYC and this hurricane was pretty bad. Anyone complaining about Rockstar not delivering the GTAV trailer needs to get off the gaming forums and look at a news site. GTAV isn't the first thing on my mind when I'm thinking about the thousands of people who JUST got their power back last night after some brutally cold weather.

MuhammadJA4185d ago

Because some fans are just nerds and impatient.

BlmThug4185d ago

Its as if they have nothing to do other than wait for a bloody trailer. Occupy yourselves till its ready. Maybe go out and see some sunlight

stragomccloud4185d ago (Edited 4185d ago )

Sir. Your name violates the maximum onset principle of English. lol

First world problems are a b@#tch

vortis4185d ago (Edited 4185d ago )

I know, bro.

I asked for pinched leather in my Lexus, I ended up with stretched leather. Man, I took a verbal lashing to the dealer because WTF is up with not using pinched leather?

I nearly called my lawyer and had him sue the college funds that the dealer had been saving up for the past 20 years for his kids.

Wintersun6164185d ago

Well that is a legit complaint at least. If you ask for potatoes and receive tomatoes, then you are eligible to complain.

TenSteps4185d ago

That is horrible. It reminds me of the time I was watching TV and the batteries on the remote died out. Suffice to say I called the battery company and told them how irresponsible they are that their batteries don't last longer. I mean I had to walk all the way to my room where I keep my spares. An entire room.

Lulz_Boat4185d ago

why delay a trailer?

there no any fu**ing sense in doing something like that... i mean, isn't a game where you can say "it isn't finished"... or "we found some serious bugs"... damn you, it's a trailer, that i'm sure was registered months ago! they are just hype the game

DoomeDx4185d ago

You havent heard about the hurricane?
There was an article about the trailer being delayed a couple of hours ago. it explains everything

bubblebeam4185d ago

The hurricane swept the USB with the trailer on it away, and there is no hard copy. F***ing cut and paste.

NonApplicable4185d ago

It's a freaking TRAILER. Get over yourself.

Ex-Rockstar Dev Finally Explains Why Small Planes Randomly Crashed in GTA San Andreas

Former Rockstar Games Technical Director Obbe Vermeij has finally revealed why some planes would randomly crash in GTA: San Andreas.

Profchaos13d ago

This fly by feature was on the cutting room floor due to the random plane crashes and it's one of those things I'm so thankful made it into the final version as these random fly by and crashes make the world seem more alive on the extremely limited PS2 hardware you needed everything you could possibly get in a open world to convey that feeling.

And accross hundreds of hours of gameplay I probably died around 3 times as a result of these fly by failures but I loved every time it happened

isarai13d ago (Edited 13d ago )

It made the world feel more human, and honestly kinda insane that even today with all these open world games, almost no one can capture that like R* even when compared to their ps2 games

Skuletor11d ago

Lol, I remember those. I vaguely remember dying from one crashing into my car once too.
