IRB Gamer:"This is the year that ALL WWE fans can leave No Mercy and WrestleMania 2000 in the dust, and proclaim WWE 13 as the best experience ever! Even if you’re simply a wrestling fanatic that doesn’t play games, you should own this as the “perfect” interactive collector’s edition of WWE’s history. Embrace the Revolution."
Some of you may know that the latest instalment in the WWE gaming franchise 2K20 was released late last year to generally poor reviews. Some of this was based on graphical issues, but mostly it was due to the many glitches and bugs found – many of which are hilarious to witness.
Fire Pro needs more love. The last PS4 title gets regular playtime from me.
I hear that there are financial troubles at the studio, but I'm hopeful for a Switch port one of these days.
I have Fire Pro for PS4 and PC but it seems more of like a Sim creator rather than people actually playing out matches. I still dont like anything as much as the N64 games
Yes, the WWE ones at least. The last good one was 2K14 and the last great one was Here Comes the Pain.
There's been so many great wrestling games throughout the years. But this list of the 10 best wrestling games of all time will crown one true champion.
Bidness Gaming: WWE wrestling games went through several transitions, but in the end we saw it all end in a count-out!
IMO the story aspects became the worst. the universe mode isn't as good as the GM mode(imo)
commentary is really bad
enemy ai isn't good neither is hit detection
instead of putting effort into single player story all we have gotten are past glory moments. i mean we are basically watching replays of old matches
i am surprised we didn't get a true wwe vs wcw game
the one wwe game few years ago with wcw story line was good(i had fun with story mode atleast)
here comes the pain
shut your mouth
day of reckoning
no mercy
are some of the best wwe wrestling games
much better review than ign's bare bones review. still dont talk about as much id liek to see though. if i were to review this i would mention.....
-changes to universe mode
-changes to all creation modes
-changes to the in game options like catching finishers, additional environmental areas, breaking the ring, etc
-match length which was touched on here, not on ign though
-audio changes which was addressed in both reviews but each seems to be on opposite sides about it
-more details on how attitude mode works/what it is. it looks like the road to wrestlemania mode to me just with a different time frame yet each reviewer ( ign and this site ) seem to have a negative reaction to road to wrestlemania but not this. what makes one good and the other bad.
-any additional info like control changes if any, new options, any removed features, any other new ones not touched on.
wwe games are enormous and should be 2-3 page reviews. anything less and i feel like they only played half the game
I'm still on the fence about getting this game. I'll get the game if Kai En Tai is included.
I saw the WWE13 commercial the other day and the graphics were awful. Were they displaying the Wii version in the commercial? Curious.
Don't know, the last couple games were pretty bad and idk if this one is gonna change it, i heard this game has the largest roster count including from the Attitude Era but how do we know that doesn't just introduce more problems?
Don't kid yourselves people. This WWE game nor the next won't be the next great wrestling games. I'd even ponder that '15 is going to be worse off.
THQ announced that they have already been working on WWE '14 before '13 even went gold. To add to that they're also working on WWE '15 for Next Gen systems like the PS4 & Xbox 720.
Nothing about these games are actually new. Even the game engine they claimed was new for WWE '12 was not actually new and it shows/did show based on the fact that glitches present in earlier WWE titles before '12 were still there in '12, exactly how they were in earlier titles. These games have become nothing more than cut and paste, year after year.
This is coming from somebody who literally has every trophy for every WWE title that actually supports trophies and has experienced every WWE/WWF Smackdown game that has been on the PlayStation brand on top of games like the WWE RAW games, N64 games(Even played the WCW & ECW games), and even a WCW game for PC. The series got destroyed as soon as they decided that one title being multiplatform was better than having an exclusive game for each console.
