Reduced draw distances? That's kind of disappointing... Wonder if that might be better on the PC version? I dunno, I have all the others on console though.

Yeah, I do realize this game looks much better and there is a LOT going on in it. Still, one of the main things I loved about the AC games, was getting up on the tallest tower and overlooking the entire landscape.

i really hoped on the + side that the ending provided closure, cant really escape the feeling that they're gonna pull a mass effect 3 on this one

@snookies. I am sure it will be fine. When you are up high you do not have all the rendering that goes on at ground level, i.e., people walking and stuff.

AC a 7.5
AC2 an 8 (best in the series, imo)
ACB an 8.5
ACR an 8

and now AC3 an 8.5, the game is great.

They are usually around the mid to lower end in the reviews

I have it, and I love it... I actually liked the slow pace of the beginning

Because before that I was starting to think 8.5 might be a little low for what looks like it's going to be an epic game.

So now thanks to your detail explanation I see that in-fact they have given it one of the highest ratings for any of the AC Series...

so consider me back super excited.. Can't wait to get this...

I wish ratings would include what a site gave previous games, just so gamers can judge how they tend to score..

I've not played all of them, I skipped Brotherhood, I think I forgot about it and before I knew it Revelations came out, i'll be sure to get this though

While this site is good and credible, they aren't the biggest of fans when it comes to AC (compared to the average reviews these games hold: 81, 91, 90, 80.) I'm sure ACIII will get higher reviews in the coming days.

The lowest score it got its from multiplayer. Which is something I see as a bonus, its not really why I buy the game.

my mate has an early copy and we could not believe how many bugs we have counted so far. why is it so hard to eliminate these bugs? you'd think after the first AC they would have learned a thing or two.

Because Ubisoft refuses to delay AC games. Starting with AC2 Ubisoft basically decided they are never going to delay a AC game again. They will simply release it in whatever condition it is in. AC2 had the worst AI of any video game this entire generation, and was missing sequences 12, and 13, and should have been delayed 6 months.

i have to agree with the negative points at the end,the game has a lot of bugs,but it was surprising not to have them,its a big game,and about the AI,i died a few times while fighting,mostly because i still don't get it how to take a human shield when they are shooting at you,but i like the combat a lot,looks more fluid ,better fighting animations,overall its a great game,but i;m not impressed by the series anymore,after so many games i'm starting to get bored and i just want to finish the story faster

I also have the game and one of the things that is getting on my nerves is that the notifications they give you on screen about what to do (such as using a human shield) don't last long enough for you to read...i was only able to read the beginning which said something about pressing a button just as they're about to shoot you...i later did it by accident by pressing B near an enemy...

Also, the main notifications that appear on screen cannot be read in "recent entries" which sucks cause sometimes it's useful information...they could have taken a page from Rockstar in that department.
