Wow really? The game's been out a while yet they're making a new premium edition? That seems kind of odd...

Xof4196d ago

If it's anyting like past re-releases, odds are it means that this "Dragonborn" DLC will be the last of the rather disappointing DLC releases.

Acidicpack4195d ago

Yeah the DLC has been so so so

But grab your self a copy on the PC and enjoy all the Epic mods that blow the DLC out of the water.

Makes you wonder wtf they're going to put in the ps3 box, maybe an appology letter for their spaghetti programing?

"In addition to a copy of the game, the “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” premium edition also features map, emblem t-shirt, The Infernal City: An Elder Scrolls Novel, six concept art postcards in addition to a bonus disc containing background materials, trailers, walkthroughs, five songs and an 600-page strategy guide e-book."

And all this "crap" will cost 60 dollars. How cute.

Why is Gravelord marked as trolling?? He speaks the truth.

Instead of creating "premium" editions of this game, Bethesda should be making WORKING editions of this game, notably for the PS3 owners.

violents4195d ago

For sure, I bet the t shirt you get has extra armholes to emulate the glitchy game.

They gotta work hard to convince ps3 users (me included) to buy this.

Hicken4196d ago

I'm wondering if it'll even work.

RivetCityGhoul4196d ago (Edited 4196d ago )

why should they convince PS3 users? this premium edition doesn't offer anything else that original doesn't. if anybody buys this new edition over the what is already cheap original game then your an idiot.

ceballos77mx4195d ago

After the mess of the DLC they sure as hell have to convince ps3 players to buy this knowing that is bug-ridden and wont have DLC.

DeFFeR4195d ago

"your an idiot."

...love when this happens.

Qrphe4196d ago

Too worn out on Skyrim, definitely won't be picking this up
:p

Detoxx4196d ago

And the PS3 will get it.. Never

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast18d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22918d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko18d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
