EDGE - Journey was tonight named the winner of the second annual GameCity Prize during GameCity7 in Nottingham.
Thatgamecompany’s stunning PS3 adventure follows last year’s winner, Minecraft, in being honoured with an award that seeks to celebrate videogames as a cultural artform. Journey was selected by a panel of leaders in non-gaming creative fields, chaired by filmmaker Lord Puttnam.
The composer behind Journey, Austin Wintory, recently had a chance to revisit the classic game, just in time for its tenth anniversary.
My fav indie game ever, played this on ps4 and ps5. Too bad it does not have a plat trophy.

Today, veteran game developers with experience on games like Journey, Skyrim, Spider-Man, Edith Finch, Ratchet & Clank and more, have come together to announce a brand new game studio, Gardens.
Concept artist has a very distinct style and if they can translate that into the game well this studio will be making some visually stunning games.

And thoroughly deserved. A game that went against the grain and dared to be different... and STILL got good review scores. Rare indeed.
To call this game brilliant would be an understatement, the sun set scene is arguably the best video gaming moment I have ever experienced, oh and the soundtrack on its own is a masterpiece.
