What Type of Gamer Are You

There are many types of gamers, Like variables, gamer types are not set. Some gamers can fit into multiple types. What I have learned is that no gamer is constant. Here are some examples of the gamer types I have encountered over the years. This opinion piece is meant to shine the spotlight on our disturbing trend to classify ourselves.

Of course I don't hate every game, but I certainly hate most of the games I buy.

I play games for the game and because I can appreciate the art of games, not because I have to be playing games constantly for just for the sake of gameplay.
If there are no interesting games, I won't play any.

Mate, you have to learn not to care about the disagrees. All kinds of reason why a person would receive disagrees, just don't worry about them. This is the internet, expect what is not expected.

Hence, someone could disagree with me for telling you this which you should have known already.

But I dont really care about achievements or trophies. I play games for the fun of playing them, not for the little "boop" reward. Would that make me extra hardcore?

I am the hardcore gamer. I have actually told people that call of duty 2 is the hardest one to beat on Veteran difficulty.

I don't really know to be honest... I just enjoy playing games, Im not playing games because i work (i do work though). I enjoy achievements/trophies.

Why dont gamers just game and have fun instead of trying to be put into groups or get forced into groups.

I'm a random gamer. Kind of streaky. I'll be into a certain genre or type for maybe 4-6 months, and then be into something else a bit later.

I like all different types of games though.

Art Style & Music matter more than graphics.
