Also, in the PSASBR clip he says "I must consume everything". The Negativitron is a giant evil vacuum that consumes everything in its path.

He was basically the PS1 era mascot for the company. Like, remember 'Face' from Nick Jr.? (If you were alive in the 90's...) Kinda like that. Yet, much less childish! I believe he'd make a great final boss!

It kind of makes sense now, to me at least. Polygon man was the first official Mascot for Sony's platform, but soon was outcast for not being popular or having that mass appeal to the consumers. Did he even have a game?

I didn't even know who Polygon man was until PSASBR was announced and the the final boss was being discussed. I take this as not true, because I really don't want to know.

It can't be Negativitron.He is already in one of the stages as a background hazard. Why would they make him the final boss too? Plus they said 'PlayStation veterans'. Not everyone knows who Negativitron is.

More then they know who Negativitron is. They said PlayStation veterans would remember who he is and he is too new for veterans. And it wouldn't make sense since he is already in a PASBR stage as a background character. It would be redundant. He appears early on then appears again as the boss? Not likely.

@ Arcanine. If they could have just gotten anyone they wanted then we wouldn't just have twenty characters. Why not Gex or Tomba? Because the people who own them didn't want to give them. Simple as that. If they could have gotten Gex or Tomba they wouldn't have made them bosses they would have made them playable characters.

Is that a joke? First off, to actually know who Polygon man is, you would need to be a fan for a while (roughly 94 or 18 years, which is older than a lot of gamers / North American) or give enough of a damn to look up past marketing / ad campaigns that Sony did. Even if you were around back then, nothing says you ever saw or heard about Polygon Man, since he was that unimportant, where as you think LESS?! people know who Negativitron is, when ANYONE with Playstation Plus got it for free, in addition to whatever the game sold prior to that, which also adds in the fact that he would be recognizable to all regions.

Now I am not saying I think it is Negativitron, but I do think he makes a LOT more sense than some random advert from at least 10 years ago and was limited to the US. Let's also couple it with the fact that most people would see it as ANOTHER clone move (Nintendo does hands, Sony does faces I guess), which ultimately makes the game look worse. In the end, veteran is a vague term. To some it might be 6 years (which is a while given the demographic), might be 10, but it's silly to think it automatically means "Founding members".

Aw, I was hoping they could book Castlevania: SOTN's Dracula as the end boss! His super move would be throwing a "Miserable Little Pile of Secrets" at the player, and one of his repeating lines would be "HAVE AT YOU!" Galamoth for the assist!
