The Anime We'd Love to Play

IGN: "Super soldiers, lost magic, vampires, gas-powered guitars... wouldn't all these work so well in a video game? The answer is 'yes.'"

Jackhass4205d ago

Man, I'm just not up to date with the latest anime anymore.

SuicidalTendencies4205d ago

Same here. The only one on this list that I've seen is Elfen Lied. That was on a recommendation from a friend or else I wouldn't have seen that either. It's kinda sad cause I grew up watching Japanese Anime in the late 80's, early 90's. I even watched a bunch in the late 90's. Good stuff.

I love Hentai !

I want to play a Bible Black game .

ThanatosDMC4205d ago

Watch Scryed if you like fighting anime but the english dub sucks.

ScubbaSteve4205d ago

I think I've gotten too old for it. I can't help but get annoyed when I see the cookie cutter characters that you find in anime lately. The loser main character, the glasses girl, the tsundre, they just seem to reuse these personalities over and over and I can only stand so much of it. A lot of these things work their way into the jrpg industry as well and I think that's part of why some of them just seem so uninteresting.

Hicken4205d ago

But none of these is new. Almost every one of them is a decade old, and the newest one is a far-flung sequel to a series that's easily twenty years old(not gonna go look up when the first came out, but you get the picture).

The only one I haven't watched in Magic User's Club.

Scryed would make for a pretty interesting fighter. There's plenty of characters to use, and lots of room for story mode.

Despite its setting, I don't think Scrapped Princess would make a very good rpg. Not if you were just following the story, anyway, as you'd only use Pacifica's siblings(in other words, just two people). Well, if it were in the style of Nier, it might work.

Well, I must amend that I haven't seen much Elfen Lied, so I can't really tell on that one.

FLCL is hard enough to pin down as an anime; trying to make a game out of it would be next to impossible, especially without expanding upon the original story. Which I wouldn't be upset with, since I always wanted more, anyway.

Hellsing would be like some sort of Gungrave meets Castlevania mix. It could work, but since Alucard can't really die...

Diebuster(Aim for the Top 2) would probably wind up being like a Gundam game, sadly. Capturing that Gainax over-the-top action and style isn't likely to be doable by many developers. CyberConnect2 comes to mind, looking at Asura's Wrath, but I wonder if even they could pull off some of the epic-sized battles that would take place later on.

only ones on the list ive seen are FLCL and elfen lied(fucked up anime)

Neo-Axl4205d ago

I saw FLCL waaaaaay back in 2001, Only 6 episodes mind you? That would be pretty cool, Beating up Robots with a Bass guitar would be pretty mental!

RockmanII74205d ago

Same as everyone else, I've only seen FLCL and Elfen Lied though Hellsing has been on my to do list for like the past two years. I'd love to see a Darker than Black game in the same style as the Batman: Arkham Series and Assassins Creed games.

Kyosuke_Sanada4205d ago

This list needs more Guyver and I would love to see a Vampire Hunter D or a Demon City Shinjuku horror RPG in the works. Don't even let me get started on a Venus Wars Racer (would prefer it being handled by Comcept/Evolution Studios collaboration).....

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
