5 Reasons Black Ops II Is Best On Wii U

GR: "The other week, Nintendo invited me up to San Francisco to play a bunch of Wii U games and generally get a better feel for the system in the weeks leading up to its launch. In addition to U Sing, a handful of 3DS games, ZombiU, and plenty of time with Nintendo Land, I got to try my hand at a quick multiplayer match against some bots in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

"When I got home, I went to Gamestop and changed my preorder from Xbox 360 to Wii U. Here are five reasons why."

The CoD wiiU game actually hits shelves at the same time as the others, if I remember correctly.

Not that it matters but so much... This will most likely not sell as high on wiiu as it will elsewhere for the reasons you have stated... ^,^;;

5 reasons it may not be better either:

1-Friend Codes
2-Un-tested Nintendo Network (in high traffic situations)
3-None of your friends from previous games will be there (from psn/live)
4-Trey Arc confirmed it isnt native 1080p, thus a mere illusion of 1080p
5-Not many people will be on mics since wii u wont come with one, nor does the controller have a port for mic.

Not hating on wii u, but I dont see why I should get black ops for that instead of live/psn when all my friends are already there.

Point 4 is invalid seeing as neither PS3 or 360 render the game at 1080p natively.

It appears there's a little difficulty penetrating that dense skull of yours. If none of the consoles (360/PS3/WiiU) render the game at 1080p natively, then none can claim it as a reason to get the game on that system or not.

You are completely missing my point. I'm not saying Nintendo did or didn't claim it would be rendered at 1080p. I'm simply saying that if the 360 and PS3 rendered the game at 1080p and the WiiU didn't, that would be a reason NOT to get it on the WiiU. However, as the 360 and PS3 DON'T render the game at 1080p either, it's a null point.

It's gonna be realy interesting to see how the Wii U version will be. How it will run on the system and so on. Been buyin COD for the PS3 for years but this time im gonna give Nintendo a chance.

I realy hope it will be something cool with the new controller, better gfx if it has on the system is just a nice bonus.

We have to see if the support/DLC will be there. On wii it was atrocious

Ya how will dlc be handled on wii u? Wii u also has the weakest online setup, Nintendo said so themselves. So it will be interesting to see how the wii u handles big online games. It might be the best version, time will tell.

I would have to say it's best on PC, if there are modtools and custom maps. (No, I am not a PC elitist).

I wouldn't mind getting it for the Wii U, but who knows how big the online community will be or how long those numbers will stay up. I'm going to have a wait-and-see approach for that console. If there's a new Metroid Prime and Mario Galaxy, I'm in.

if we get down to microscopic differences, wiiu version might be better but it is the absolute same as xbox 360 and ps3, nearly everyone will buy it on ps3 or 360 and not paying 300+ $ on it, it's not like" oh man look at cod 4, gotta upgrade my system"

I think this is for the audience that bought the COD games on the Wii. Or for those people who are planning on getting a Wii U and want a good game to go with it.

Has there been any released details on the Wii U online functionality? The Wii U version may be better in a few things but without a solid online component, Black Ops 2 will not be the best on the Wii U.

It will be interesting to see how things pan out. But since Nintendo tried really hard to make sure they had this game for launch, I am sure they will iron things out in regards to the online functionality. We do know that all the multiplayer modes are there, the only things that need to be figured out is will Elite be available down the road, and how the DLC will be delivered. I am sure that the DLC will come to the Wii U eShop and Elite will eventually show up on the system. As for the voice chat, I plan to get a bluetooth headset anyways, so there won't be any issues if I am playing with the gamepad or the pro controller. Ultimately I am buying this game first for the single player experience. I stopped playing CoD online after MW2 - I never went online for Black Ops and for MW3 I played maybe 3 or 4 matches.

Nintendo won't let this game fall the wayside because they want to make sure that these developers will want to come back for the next game.
