Jawad Ashraf – PS Store Team -

Welcome. The new look PlayStation Store launches today, bringing with it a broad selection of new content.

Doom 3 BFG Edition is the ultimate bundle for fans of the groundbreaking shooter that defined the modern FPS. It includes Doom, Doom II, Doom 3, and Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, including the ‘Lost Mission’. On top of that, all Doom 3 content has been re-mastered in stunning 3D for an even more terrifying FPS experience

Elsewhere, Lee’s story continues in the latest episode of Telltale Game’s excellent The Walking Dead tie-in. It’s the penultimate entry in the five part series. Sleeping Dogs is now available for digital download and Namco Bandai’s quirky action title A-MEN is well worth a look too. Oh, and don’t overlook BreakQuest: Extra Evolution in minis.

I like the Heads Up so much more than the PlaystationLifestyle store update. That stupid genie lid annoying.

snake-OO4199d ago

Be happy you have the old store. The new store is terrible. I'm a big SONY fan but that new store is terribly slow. I mean sure it's just the cell processor so you really can't expect it to run a better website (HTML5 store) smoothly. But not only is it slooow, it is also even worse to find new stuff. And downloading a demo now takes about 8 clicks. Usability and speed have both decresed from the old store. Would you have guessed it possible? I hope they add a 'classic'-look-feature because this certainly makes it harder for me to spend money.

I cant see the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta on the store :-( yes Im a PS+ subscriber
edit: nvm, its under the 'Exclusives' section on PS+, Im surprised they didnt post that on the main page...it could get more people to join PS+

Still no CS:GO lol

SCEE are a joke, i'm glad i left the PS3 a long time ago.

AcceptedWalnut4199d ago

Not sure why you'd get personal satisfaction from me not playing on PS3 anymore but whatever.

Enjoy your sub hd games.

IRetrouk4199d ago

Why you here then. If the store update has no interest to u then gtfo. Go play ur pc and be happy

AcceptedWalnut4199d ago

Because i still own a PS3, its used as a media player these days but its nice to keep upto date with whats releasing on what platforms.

My son also enjoys playing PS3 so i keep an eye on any kid friendly games being put onto the store.

My off the cuff remark about being glad i left PS3 was childish yes but my point still remains that SCEE are lousy and treat their European market disgracefully.

IRetrouk4198d ago

My harddrive and games collection say otherwise. We deff are not first on their agenda but we still get some amazing things through plus. Sometimes even better than what the usa gets.

I_LOVE_MYSELF4199d ago

Once upon a time I was really excited about CSGO. I really don't care anymore, but I am still interested to check every Wednesday just to see if it finally gets released. I hope it gets the Trine2 treatment when it does.

Feel the same there taking the piss now, where is Doom : (

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Launched 10 Years Too Early

Though PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is a bit of a cult classic, it could have been a big hit if it launched in 2022 instead of 2012.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69511d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop511d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard511d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi511d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin511d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus518d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer517d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
