I find it amazing how the PSP can still sell over double the total units of its successor.

I also find it amazing how many PS2's and DS's continue to sell.

Wow the 3DS is a tank in Japan. If you add sales of the XL and regular 3DS, it's more units than all the others hardware types combined!

Yup, 3DS is still taking up most sales and of course the ps2 is still selling, its the king of all consoles :D

Actually 360 was down over 50% on previous week. Not that it really matters that much, as people don't generally look at 360 numbers for Japan anymore anyway.

Price cut will be forced on vita.. I think its a good deal (minus memory) for the thing but a $30-$50 price drop is whats gonna happen to boost em like 3DS did..

Good job nintendo! They know how to sell their stuff... Now if only 3rd party would deliver some games i want for it.. Castlevania is looking good @ least so ill be playing my vita until then..

I just dont understand how a game like Hatsune Miku drove vita sales thru the roof but all the other great games do little to nothing for it... Is the casual market that huge? Oh well, id rather sony sell a lot less & keep giving me games i like rather than push for more casual games.. The PS name is still strong & king of home consoles globally (minus US)

Miku will always drive sales. Anime style games will always sell systems in Japan. Look at the most recent vita sellers. Miku and Persona 4. Anime and/or anime rpg equals sales in Japan. It also doesn't hurt that Miku is like Japans own 80's MJ.

if you need proof, just google any random states sheet on who's importing tentacle crap vs who's buying it in japan.
