As promised earlier, Netherrealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon has released a screenshot of the two newest fighters in Injustice: Gods Among Us, Green Lantern and The Joker.

i don't understand this company's obsession with superheroes. I find mortal kombat characters to be 10 times more interesting and badass.

superheroes just look lame, specially in a fighting game like this.

Looks like Green Lantern to me....though, you know.......make mine MARVEL (in terms of which comic company I like and follow). I think the thing making him look a bit "off" is his right hand glove looking pinkish, but looking at his other hand, which is white, I'm pretty sure that pinkishness is just the lighting interacting with the material.

It's nice to see The Joker, though it's obviously not a surprise of any kind. Solid design though, I like it. I hope the roster is huge, but I'm pretty sure it won't be any larger than MK vs DC (20-24).

Sometimes I wish I were a tekken fan, for no other reason than they always seem to have HUGE rosters.

Anyway, I support Ed Boon with every project he does, and this will be no exception. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for Doomsday, Deathstroke, Darksied and The Spectre.........oh, and of course THE MAIN MAN, LOBO.

That's a different Green Lantern. The one in the game is Hal Jordan - the main and most widely known Green Lantern from Earth.

The one that they made gay in the New 52 comics is Alan Scott. He hardly matters though.

Ummmm.......are there alot of DC fighting games? Care to point me to them? Last one I recall is MK vs DC from 4 years ago, and the one before that was......errrrr......oh yeah, there wasn't one before that. Though I may have a memory of one from back in the SNES/Genesis days, which I never played.

Green Lantern have an armor-like costume isn't new. I don't read many DC comics (aside from Swmp Thing from their VERTIGO line back in like 2005/6), but I seem to recall some member/s of the GLCorps wearing armor similar to that at some points, and it certainly doesn't look out of place for the character regardless.

And have you EVER even read any kind of Green Lantern comic or even seen more than 1 picture of the character? The way he's floating there is a TYPICAL Green Lantern pose. Floating looks like high heels? Dude.......there are plenty of things in this world that actually make sense to complain about, and you somehow pick one that's NOT. (typical for a vast majority modern internet users I suppose)

But you are right...there really isn't many DC fighter games.

I personally don't see an issue with Green Lantern's outfit. This is Ryan Reynolds outfit he wore when he was cast as Green Lantern. Makes sense since they also are using Christian Bale's Batman outfit.

Maybe the game will come with the original outfit skins as well.

Oh my, Larry. For the last time, IT IS NOT ABOUT THE POSE.

He is not an inch off the ground in that picture (poor perspective is at fault for looking like that....look, GL doesn't even have a shadow).

He is HOVERING OVER an opponent, not floating an "entire" inch. And even if he were, note the elevated knee. THAT ISN'T EVEN THE SAME POSE.

And I never said we HAD a "lot" of DC beat em ups. I just said we don't need more. The beat em up is such a generic way to use an IP! The DC universe wasted on it!

Nope. This is Hal Jordan the first modern day Green Lantern. They made the original Green Lantern gay when they rebooted their universe. It was a retarded thing to do to a 70 year old character with a wife and kids. It'd be like suddenly making Superman gay, you just can't do that.

I really like the Joker's look in this game.

Don't have much to say about Green Lantern though. He has an awkward pose in this screen, but that's about it. The design itself is ok.

The thing with green lantern is that he looks like a roid head I imagined him lean not that buff. The Joker looks badass alot like his look in AC but a little bulkier which is a good thing hes to skinny in AC...

Looks ok to me. In that screen he looks like he is levitating a little. The stance reminds me of Scorpion from Mortal Kombat.
Speaking of ugly. Wonder Woman looks horrendous in this game. I thought she looked bad in MKvsDC. She suppose to be beautiful like how she is always portrayed. oh well i suppose its still early days.

You know I said the samething somewhere earlier and to some friends. Netherrealms has a grudge against making Wonder Woman look even kind of attractive. She looked like China in MK vs DC (ok not really) but she was super butch and her moves were terrible, I laughed out loud when I first did them...then I cried a little.

I seriously hate NR's art style for their fighters.
It's as if they hired all the old Image artists from the 90's.

maybe they just dont have a great artist specialised in making the females look attractive like other games. I mean even in the recent MK, all the females faces looked rather unattractive but on the neck down everything looked awesome. Ok the endowments looked abit oversized but I like that anyway. (and I think most people like their females top-heavy) I actually preffered the masked versions of Kitana and Jade. (Mileena of course her as well but thats obvious) Still for me its unacceptable to allow Wonder Woman to be the way she is at this moment.

And the Joker looks to be about the same. Every character seemed to have gotten a new look but Joker appears to be straight from MK vs DC.
