When Activision revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for Wii U, it marked a potential turning point for Nintendo. For years now, Nintendo has been host to a number stripped-down second rate ports of Call of Duty games. As compared to its HD console counterparts, the Wii versions of Call of Duty games were always severely handicapped by the system’s underwhelming processing power and lackluster online support. With the Wii U, this is no longer the case. For the first time in years, a Nintendo console will truly have the full Call of Duty experience.
This by no means implies that the Wii U version of Black Ops 2 will be as successful as either the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of the game, and it would be foolish to make that assumption. However, that doesn’t lessen the importance of the opportunity that Nintendo faces. When it comes to Black Ops 2 on the Wii U, it’s not about sales numbers for Nintendo; it’s about making a statement.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
The Black Ops Gulf War leaks continue with a list of weapon descriptions giving more info on what you can expect from new and returning weapons.
Hanzla from eXputer inquires: "If Xbox can care about preserving its games and legacy, what exactly is wrong with Nintendo, trying to kill game preservation single-handedly?"
Ahh yes the good old game preservation of saving all your games to a removable hhd on the Xbox 360, taking it round your mates house, setting up multiple tvs to
Be met with “save data corrupted, please re download”
Or how about removing 360 games
From the store
, download them now or else, and, better hope to god that save data doesn’t corrupt, or it’s lost for ever
Nice one ☝️
This is just a scammy PR move to distract from the fact they are going digital only and trying to push streaming and subscriptions only.
No gaming company has pushed harder to remove ownership than Microsoft.
Without discs there is no preservation, preservation can't be done by the rights holders it can only be done by the consumers, anything else is a lie.
Nobody wants this. Sales or the lack of it in the case of XBOX is very telling. I wonder how the adorably all digital series X will fare. Adorably dismal perhaps?
Only time will tell, but for from someone like me suspecting that Xbox is trying to gracefully exit the console market, that "forward compatibility" team is trying to get Xbox games playing on Windows PCs. I mean, it's nice that they're not planning on exiting with a "enjoy your games while the hardware still works" message, so that's nice. They still have a brand to protect via Microsoft so probably feel obligated to have a better exit strategy.
Interesting to see how good it will be on the Wii U, personally I am excited for the WiiU to come out, I wont be getting one at launch but maybe down the line.
Im getting Black ops 2 and fifa13 as them 2 games are graphically better than ps3 by quite alot and im also getting Super mario u and ZombiU there my games at launch.
Highness, I'm never buying another Nintendo. Sony/Microsoft is where it's at. I highly doubt all of my Ps3/Xbox friends will switch therefore; I won't switch. The Wii U is just like very Nintendo console, behind the competition.
I'm not sure COD should be a wiiu seller. Sure, if you get a Wiiu and want it, sure...buy it. But there is no point in buying a console just for COD.
Wii U is the System Nintendo always wanted to make. All the way back to the Gamecube.
* We get Nintendo Quality games
* We also get the HD games and FPS and other popular games now as well
* Now we get all the " nintendo themed " games but in much better graphics.
Imagine how good Mario Kart U or Mario U will look (3D like N64 mario )
