All i know is im (probably) only going to live once so while im here im goin to enjoy myself and buy what seems fun so yes ive preordered a wii u with zombie u and assassins creed 3! cant bloody wait!

I am waiting for Assassins Creed 3 for Wii U, for a couple of reasons. One it will be In 1080p on Wii U and two the no pause weapons switching. So HOPEFULLY it will be better than the other versions. I will also say I am very happy that the fanboys that were talking smack two months ago saying the Wii U could not do games like that in 1080p have finally shut up. Wii U people took crap for way too long now the fanboys have been proven wrong. Even though they argued and treated us like crap. Now it is them who have been TREATED! :)

I am buying AC3 day 1 on the PS3. Have fun starting AC3 after everybody else has already finished it. Not sure why anybody would want to wait 3 weeks just to play it on a different console.

I'm only waiting for confirmation on the 1080p. If it actually runs natively at 1080p on wii u then I've got no problem waiting for the better resolution.

So far though it's just all speculation so if I haven't seen it confirmed by the ps3/360 release ill jump on it like flies on $hit.

Who cares about waiting? I've often waited for games prices to go down just to play them later. In this case the prices are the same, but they have added functionality and in some cases all DLC included.

Uh, why would I wait three weeks. Well If it looks better, runs at 60fps on Wii U and the my HUD is on the gamepad and weapons switching too why would I not wait 3 weeks. Its not that long to wait for a better version of the game. So you have fun playing your version I will wait and play the better version.

The AC games ALL support 1080p.

Also just going to state that NONE of the games have been confirmed to be NATIVELY running 1080p but it is a confirmed resolution, just like how it is and has been with the entire AC series.

Just saying. Your system really isn't doing anything that hasn't been done before. Even GTA allows you to go to 1080 if you feel so inclined. Most titles do and have for years now.

the wiiu is a new console so running games NATIVELY in 1080p should not be a huge suprise

@live2play: Actually it's kind of funny you mention CoD. CoD DOES NOT actually run native 1080p. When devs say "Full HD" it turns into more of a generalization than truth. It does not mean the game will actually run true 1080p but rather that you can run the game at that full 1080p resolution without it actually being 1080p based.

How about some common sense instead? They would not use the term "Full HD" the same term you see on 1080p compatible TVs for no reason. Jeez.

yes the PS3 and Xbox 360 support 1080p, but only by upscaling the resolution. The same way your DVD player or bluray player can upconvert DVD's to 1080p. It will make the picture look better sure, but it's not the same as watching a bluray that's 1080p.

Same for the video games. A game that is native sub 720p (which is most 360 / PS3 games nowadays -- Black Ops 2 for the PS360 will be 1280x640p which is not even HD) will not look as good at 1080p as one that is running at 1080p natively. And there have been several games that have been confirmed to be running 1080p at 60 frames per second. ZombiU and Rayman are two for example. And Black Ops 2 is heavily rumoured to be as well.

But should we be surprised by that? The console is 7 years newer. The PC has been running native 1080p since like 2005/2006 so why can't the Wii U? Sounds like angry Microsoft and Sony fans who resent Nintendo because heaven forbid their newer system is more powerful...

I still play and love my Wii. I have 57 epic games I enjoy. Working on Last story now in 480p in all it's glory.

I have a trick to make Wii look great. don't play on a LCD or hidef TV. I use a good CRT with component cables. It's much better on the eyes.

it's so true, so many people have been going on about the lack of multi-touch and how an ipad is so much better because it has it. True that no game I have ever played on my ipad has required any sort of multi-touch minus Osmos.

very good article, I can't believe people complain about a handing pad its ridiculous. remember n64 pad. that was far from conventional but did the job. I've pre ordered mine as zombiu looks intense and been waiting for a proper survival horror for years. good one Ubisoft. will prob get a ps4 but will have to see how much. also per and 720 coming out 2014 no one announces a console at e3 and releases it that year unless it improved same gen like Xbox slim its just not how game industry works. my predictions they will reveal next e3 with tech demo, e3 2014 game demos on display and launce Xmas holiday 2014. so people will be waiting a while my advice get a wii u whilst you wait.
