Has there ever been a Kinect game that got good reviews other than Dance Central?
Like serious question cause all i ever see is 5/10 garbage...

StreetsofRage4216d ago

Funny thing is, those dance games are the only pure Kinect games I own. Everything else looks like it's made for the younger generation especially this game. I know my younger cousin is going crazy about this game. He doesn't give a crap about reviews.

Games like Mass Effect 3 and Madden have really added value to my Kinect tho'

I just want to do one Kamehameha on Vegeta and I'll be happy!

The Gunstringer, Fruit Ninja, Kinect Sports, Happ Action Theater, Sesame Street, Disneyland Adventures and Kinectimals all have solid ratings. Probably some more that I'm forgetting as well.

Sometimes its fun just to play something different, doesn't matter what the reviews say. I'm loving Resident Evil 6 right now, but it was panned by critics.

StreetsofRage4216d ago

True. Reviews really don't mean nothing to me. I enjoyed games like Splatterhouse, Earth Defense Force, Saw 1 & 2, Lollipop Chainsaw, Shadow of the Damned, etc... All these games averaged 7 and lower. Didn't stop me from loving every second of it.

And I forgot about Fruit Ninja. That game is actually fun on Kinect. All the games you mentioned my younger cousin owns and every time he has all the rugrats over, they go nutts!

DigitalRaptor4215d ago

So really, the only games that have scored well are geared towards kids or casual gamers. Nice for them.

Resident Evil 6 is a straight out monstrosity. Disappointment doesn't even begin to cover it.

This one was bound to be garbage however. It's basically DBZ Tenkaichi with mediocre controls.

Shadonic4215d ago

Finally someone that can see!!! also you mean ultimate tenkaichi. tenkaichi has a way different figthting system and this game is a carbon copy of ultimate tenkaichi (littereally uses the same scenes)

SaffronCurse4216d ago

There was that gunslinger game..but that's pretty much it

MasterD9194216d ago

I never wanted to see Kinect burn down faster than hearing about this game...You just knew it wouldn't be great.

Which is a shame because DBZ is such an awesome franchise. I'd love to see a 3rd-person, open-world RPG DBZ game based on the entire DBZ series...No more kiddie crap like this.

And as for Kinect...will you ever have any potential or are you going to produce quality of games that would be fitting for a cereal box prize at best?

SaffronCurse4216d ago

Those cereal boxed games had more replay value than any kinect game that i've tried.

TheFirstClassic4216d ago

Ever play legacy of goku 2 for the gba? Awesome game with rpg elements, and a MASSIVE improvement over the first, which was just horrible.

Shadonic4215d ago

Lots of things can have great potential yet never have it brought out because of the path its gone down.

Dragon Ball Z for Kinect Review | GameDynamo

GameDynamo - "Similar to Ubisoft's PowerUp Heroes, all actions in Dragon Ball Z for Kinect are gesture-based and displayed on the right side of the screen. Players are able to punch at the air to start a martial art combo, shoot Ki-blasts, guard or dodge attacks through this system, depending on if the battle is in the air or on the ground. "

Game Guys review - Dragon Ball Z for Kinect

In the 1990's on through the early 2000's, 'Dragon Ball Z' was easily one of the more popular anime titles on television. It's so-bad-its-good dialogue and voice acting was trumped only by its over-the-top fantasy martial arts and powerful super moves. Now, in the year 2012, fans have their chance of not only controlling the show's characters in a fighting game, but more-or-less being those characters in the Xbox 360 title DragonBall Z for Kinect.

The voice acting was really good, at least the dub was... Especially for its time. C'mon though, the dialogue wasn't that bad, the only real problems DBZ had was the crazy long pauses between talking and fighting, as well as how out of proportion the powers became.
