They NEED to reveal Crash and Cloud if they're in the game. Those 2 characters alone will pretty much guarentee 3+ million unit sales if they unveil them pre-release. Alot of rumors and statements from Superbot themselves have pointed to these characters being in the game, mabye as unlockables. Even still, people need to know that they're there, otherwise they're going to continue to assume that the current roster is final, and will be a lot less inclined to buy the game. Be smart with this Sony and Superbot. It's a golden oppurtunity to truly franchise the Playstation brand.

I knew it. Capcom is such a sh*t company these days. They make millions off of the franchises they already have going, but all they want to do is continue marketing their new sh*t so they can make more money. I love the logic of the new Dante somehow being an allstar when his game isn't even out yet. At least Raiden was in a PS2 title. F*ck you Crapcom.

I really wish that when Capcom told SuperBot that it has to be the new Dante, that SuperBot had just said "No thanks" and not included him in the game at all, then chased down another character instead.

The guys behind the Oddworld games for example (which were huge in the PSX days) asked SuperBot for Abe to be put in the game, but heard nothing back. I'd much rather have Abe than the new Dante.

It not that simple. That is not how business works. If they went out of their way to go after Dante it is not as simple as that to just drop them and go chasing after another characters. That means leaving a big gap in the roster and no guarantee that they would get anyone else to agree to fill the space. Capcom was willing to give Dante even if it was on their terms. So why should you say no to a willing participant? Superbot themselves said looking for characters, even first party ones, isn't easy so just dropping Dante for someone else is not as simple as people make it sound. You can't just say leave Dante out and look for Crash and Spyro and next thing you know you can't convince Activision to give you them. Then what? You spend more time, resources and effort chasing after characters to fill the roster? At that rate you will never finish making the game.

Sooooooooo why is classic Dante in Project X Zone? :S

MaideninBlack4220d ago

I guess because PXZ is aimed at Japanese gamers and DmC Dante is targeted for western gamers.

smashcrashbash4220d ago

Well that makes sense. It is their character and you can't force them to give you whatever you want but I would have thought that Capcom would have at least been a little more reasonable and not so adament about it. At least let us have a alternate skin of old Dante or something. But I guess they have an image to keep. Just imagine if they gave in and put classic Dante in PASBR. It would have undermined their whole claim that they are want to use new Dante. First thing people would say is 'So you can use old Dante in PASBR and not in DMC? WTF Capcom?'

I believe this game will sell no more than 200k (worldwide) copies from release until next year. And will mosy likely have a metacrtic score of no more than 75%. This, LBP:Karting and wonderbook are releasing in the worst possible windows (for any relevant sales or market awareness), and will be totally crushed in sales and forgotten about due to the heavy hitter multiplat releases, wiiU and Halo 4.

I believe ur one bubble says a lot about your comment.

I hope Superbot announces Crash soon as I so many playstation fans would be happy.
Regarding New Dante being used because Capcom said so just proves Capcom really don't care about their fans anymore.

I hope Superbot adds that save replay mode/in game screen shot mode because that is something I wish all games had.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69520d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop520d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard520d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi520d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin520d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus527d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer526d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
