WC - The many iterations of Grand Theft Auto have brought with them several great features, which have only improved as the game has moved on over the past decade. With each new feature added to the series since 2001′s Grand Theft Auto III, we have come, step by step, closer towards the long awaited and revered GTA V.
Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
The freedom to explore large areas, approach objectives in multiple ways, and stumble across amusing distractions will always be an excellent format for video games, but some do it better than others. To celebrate the formula and parse the best from the best, have a look at the best open-world games of all time so far.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 are both classics, but movement and general interaction sometimes feels like you're possessed by a fridge.
Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…
The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.
Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games
I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
One feature is fun and fun alone.. everything else will be a bonus
When gta 5 comes out people will start to talk about gta 6 after 5 months. They shoud just make new gta every year
; ). Im kidding.. I just want the game already! And i want to kill hare krishnas with my car.
I want funny cheats back... but has I said, I am happy with what the creators put In the game
I want the group of Elvis impersonators back from GTA2. That would not only break up the monotony of looking at the same citizens, but it would be fun to chase them. Even SR3 added mascots randomly walking around.
Buying businesses, buying items at hardware stores, modifying cars, weight fluctuation, tattoos/hair customization, and limb removal should ALL be included considering they were all in earlier games.
none of these are "forgotten features" for me. they are the reasons i thought gta4 was crap. it was a sequel but it was 10x shallower than the last few that came before it. everything "extra" to do was gone. the only thing to do was play the missions. boring.
still very much looking forward to the sequel, im hoping they dropped so many features just to simply get the engine up and running and what not. and the years that have past up to this point is them trying to make it much more feature filled.
also missed the gang wars. imo red dead was a much better game and felt more like a real sequel to gta
