Not bashing or anything but this is the first time ive heard a developer say "We have too much source material." XDD

r214214d ago

AP stands for Allstar Power? Didnt know that. I just realized that the 20 launch characters thing could be true, what with SuperBot's rivalry concept such as Nariko's rival being Dante DMC meaning to say there are 10 rivalries going on in the game.

Eamon4214d ago

After playing this at Eurogamer I have to say that Kratos is just way too overpowered compared to the other characters.

abzdine4214d ago

yes it seems that way but in every fighting game there is one that is overpowered but there is always tactics to counter his with other players. When you play 2 vs 2 it's another story and i cant wait for this

DarkHeroZX4213d ago

I dont know after playing the beta I'd say Redic is the most OP so far. Kratos controls mid range ver well but he isn't that bad. Redic on the other hand has gernade launchers, shiper rifles, anit-air prjectiles, and many other things that just allow him to control the field in general.

Baka-akaB4214d ago

Really ? seems to me he should be easier , especially when you have two other examples and uses already from two other fighting games

Bowzabub4213d ago (Edited 4213d ago )

Makes sense since Kratos is modeled to work with fixed camera. Mortal Kombat 9 did a great job with him though. Maybe they mean leveling.

you see to forget that santa monica already did the 2d works and the fighting moves in god of war 3 already...

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69514d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop514d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard514d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi514d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin514d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus521d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer520d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
