On The Mass Effect Trilogy & Ezio’s Trilogy – Don’t Hold Anything Back

Default Prime writer Kyree Leary is a huge fan of the Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed games. Despite him already own the games separately, he was a little excited to hear about their upcoming trilogies/collections. This feeling was ruined, however, when he found out that they would not be the complete, all-in-one, collections they should strive to be.

These are quite cool trilogies.

if UBI wanted to do a AC collection they should have included the 1st game along with all the dlc. I love these Trilogy collections but i feel like even buy these games a 2nd time you don't get the whole package

i hope ME3 on ps3 includes all the dlc from 1st and 2nd and some even from 3rd since from what i have heard its gonne be out in early 2013 which will be months after it releases for pc and xbox360.

this is one thing i hate about dlc when it launches there are sales but 3-6 months after release its never given a price drop or any discount so if you missed out on buying at launch or in a sale you have to pay full price even if the game has been out for 2 years. yes i am looking at you castlevania lords of shadow

that's why i believe going all digital will be bad for us consumers because once these companies go all digital they will control the pricing more than they do now

"but i feel like even buy these games a 2nd time you don't get the whole package"

This is also my biggest problem with them. There is No point in buying these a 2nd time. These are really only for people that never played them. These have the potential to be huge cash ins.

Heck, I would buy ME again for PS3 this time if it came with all the DLC. It doesn't even have to be on the disc, just include a voucher code inside the package to download it all.

I wonder if Mass Effect 1 on PS3 will be redone with the ME3 engine because ME2 is running on the ME3 engine.

The team wants to retain the Mass Effect 1 experience while making some targeted fixes
- Game features improved texture popping and better performance on PS3
- Uses the Mass Effect 1 engine with Mass Effect 2 PS3 touch-ups
- These improvements are specific to the PS3 (360 won’t get the performance upgrades)

thats funny.. So they dont get improvements or the AC trilogy? tell me something, how is it even debatable that PS is boss of the gaming market? Because of sales ppl think it sucks? smh Sony just keeps putting more n more n more exclusive features & games out..

Thanks where did you get the info from.

I agree with this guy 100%, gamers should be putting their foot down and closing their wallet to cash grabs like this. Complete collections or even trilogy's would be brilliant, but omitting DLC, especially story DLC is just plain scummy. Look up Mass Effect 2's DLC prices, to get even just the story based DLC it's more than the cost of the trilogy itself! They havent lowered the cost of the DLC since day 1 and they hope to cash in from anyone who buys this "complete" trilogy collection. It's amazing people will shoot themselves in their own foot by supporting half assed collections like these, increasing sales and therefor giving developers more reason to exclude stuff and create more incomplete products.

there are a bunch of people who have jumped into gaming this gen that are just economically thick..
