Do you have to use your architect skills to build walls and section off inmates in order to protect weak prisoners from gang rape or is that not in the game?

From what I can see, it is entirely possible to build a shower block right in the middle of the cell blocks, and put the guards at the far end of the prison.

I doubt you will get to actually see the rape in game, but it will be strongly implied, at least in every prison I am planning to build.

If Capcom themselfs with a 600 development team can't create a good RE game then how the hell is an average western developer as ignorant and arrogant as them with no respect for the DMC franchise going to do them any good.

Is ninja theory a western developer? They are in the UK I think. Which maybe considered western I guess but their games don't feel completely western. They have made games that were almost great. Maybe they will surprise us. Fingers crossed.

"Mindblowing" to describe DmC? Not so much. Looks like it'll be a good game, a decent entry in the hack and slash genre. DOESN'T look like it should be a DMC, and isn't THAT impressive.

My thoughts exactly! I personally thinks is looks like quite a decent action game, but does not deserve the title "DMC"... If they just made it a new IP it would be much more appreciated.

I've never played the original Devil May Cry games, but I've watched walkthroughs and the gameplay looks pretty damn close here, the only thing different is appearance. We're judging things off appearance now? Are gamers REALLY that shallow? If a game's fun to play I'll play it, regardless of what the style is. This game looks fun. I'm not going to try to force you to like it, I can't do that, but it seems a lot of you are against change from the start, but many of you also complained about the 4th game.

if you watched Devil May Cry walkthroughs and think this new one looks close to them, you watched someone who dosen't know how to play the game. Devil May Cry is fast pace and makes use of combos and skill to get a better ranking...this new one is mash one button with no skill involved. They also took away the personality of Dante and everyone in the game as well as the atmosphere of the series.

Thank you... Someone who understands... The combat in the Devil May Cry games had always been about working combos from enemy to enemy in a fast paced way trying to get better rankings. As far as Dante goes you're exactly right. Despite him being a bit cheesy at times with his lines, I couldn't see Devil May Cry without him and this new one certainly is NOT Dante.

The main issue I have though is Ninja Theory and Capcom's response to fans of the series voicing their outrage at these changes yet they basically told them to "F--- off". You can tell they care about their fans, huh? lol

There's one more video I wish I could find where someone did the DMC 4 fight with Dante against Berial all airbourne, took no damage, and did it on Dante Must Die difficulty.

I also wouldn't say too many people were against the 4th game I actually think I heard more people saying they wanted an origin story for Nero rather then getting a reboot (which no one wanted).

I loved DMC4, I hated losing the Devil Bringer halfway through the game.

I thought DMC4 was quite a bit of trash personally the only thing kind of cool about the game was the ability for Dante to switch styles on the fly. but to each his own I guess.

They've actually made a big amount of changes:

Good Changes:
- Level Design. Capcom had TERRIBLE level design. Half of DMC4 was backtracking, small rooms, etc. DMC New looks way better in this department.

Bad Changes:
-Combat looks weaker
-30 FPS (previous games were all 60 FPS)
-DMC4 Dante looked better
-DMC3 vergil looked better
-Lack of gameplay "style"
-Devil Trigger seems to be a slow down mechanism, the old one seemed better

Their Devil Trigger is essentially the quicksilver style from DMC3

I agree 100% about previous level design. Lol but I didnt like the chaps wearing, rose throwing Dante all that much. Vergil did look cooler in 3 though.

Nope there is more to this game than just appearance.

You not playing any previous games says it all really. So how you can you actually compare all of them just by what you see?

People complained about DMC4 because there was a change. A lack of focus from the main character of the series for the sake of introducing a new one while adding romance too. The point of Nero being more emotional (state of love) and the romance was to increase the female fanbase for the series.

So one of the biggest points for DMC4 was based off a business decision. We saw how many reacted. So what does this mean if the ENTIRE game is based off a business decision (not just one aspect of it)?

Well, the game hasn't released and we already see the affects.

End Note:
I know passionate and business decisions intertwine and result in the games we play. HOWEVER, what if the choices of passion and business are unbalanced? What type of game will result. The answer is not so simple due to various outcomes for different reasons, but it is true that some games suffer in some way due to this imbalance.

nothing will even look close to dishonored and ac3 on pc, as usual, pc always looking good.....consoles....ehhh..... have not looked good this decade, i just rented resident evil 6, it looked 3 generations old, didn't help that right before i popped it in the ps3 i was playing bf3 in ultra, literally it looked to me like a ps1 game would look to a console only gamer, it was NASTY!

it's my second one, my launch died finally in 2010, got the slim 120gb for $10 when i traded my fatty broken and some ps3 and 360 that were useless to me to gamestop

playing a bit of starhawk right now, it looks awful, but its kinda fun, the new modes are cool, resident evil 6 went back today and i picked up a movie instead becasue there is not a single game on ps3 i want to play that i have not played, and except for ffxiii, god of war 3, uncharted 2 they all look HORRIBLE, the above mention games simply look last gen, they sstill look ok, just last gen, everything else on ps3/360 looks 2 gens old

Puppeteer on PS3, due for release next year, looks gorgeous. It looks like a real cult classic , like a cross between a Megadrive platform game and Paper Mario. I hope that it sells millions.

Dishonored - Hey if you're a PC gamer have at this one. If you're playing on a PS3... well you remember what they did with Skyrim. Full of gamebreaking glitches and they couldn't even release DLC for it because it was so broken.

DMC- You should change the acronym to EMO. Combat looked bland and slower paced than the originals with fewer enemies on screen. Story seemed ridiculously childish.

Culture- No idea what this game is about, but i'll have to check it out.

ACL: I'm with you on this one, but it's a handheld title so that's good.

Dishonored: Bethesda aren't developing this one, they are publishing it. It won't be like Skyrim.

After the extended demo for Last of Us at PAX, that game pretty already takes the cake for most mind blowing game of 2013, possibly this entire gen. That game looks downright fantastic. I can't wait to see how anti-Sony review sites try to put that one down.
