Ya seriously, out of the first batch of the 12 free games we got, I only finished 2! Now in got at least 16 more free games to complete(or should I say 16 rented free games to complete for the technical people lol;-))

i wish people would stop saying they receive free games through PS+ for one you have to pay a subscription to get the content, so thats not FREE, secondly you have to keep paying the sub if you want to keep access to it, heres a better idea guys, go rent the damn game and save a ton of cash.

Of course it's technically still a rental service, but for $50 a year that's a pretty good deal considering that you do get other things like Avatars (remains free), PS1 classics ( I know these remain free even after sub ends), betas, discounts, ect.

My cheapest local does $2.49, that's about 20 games for the $50 and only 7 days with each of them. I know in most areas it's far much higher than that (block buster was what $8 for 5 days?). So in most places, this is still the cheaper way

and lets not forget that it's coming to the Vita, many places don't even offer Vita rentals

Blockbuster is 5 dollars for 7 days now, or 99 cents a day. same with Redbox.

The counter argument here, its new games and you get to pick what you want to rent. With how short games are these days you don't really need them more than 24 hours.....

Personally think PS Plus should have a general 10 percent or 20 percent discount on the entire store, not just select titles for a short period of time.

I didn't subscribe for those 'free' titles, I subscribed for the cloud backups, betas and discounts. Anything else Sony throw in is just a bonus.

Cuz those little mints on hotel pillows aren't free, since you have to pay for the hotel room...

Here's an idea: get a PS3 and not rent the online portion of your game on 360 and save a ton of cash?

I have Plus just for cloud saving. I'm after YLOD and I've lost everything. So yeah, for me the games are free because I'm paying for something else. This, and automatic updates.

You can call the games you get with ps+ Susan for all I care...

Fact of the matter is a good deal is a good deal and ps+ delivers in spades with the amount of games you now have access to..

But heh the ones down playing will always do this because it's Sony...if this was MS then it would be the most amazing deal dreamt up by man since xbox live..lol

If people are willing to pay for Xbox live I don't see a reason why people aren't willing to pay for ps plus.

No, it's optional and can be interesting for people who like the extra's and freebies for the duration of their subscribtion, but you don't need it to play your games online. It becomes a must after a couple of years, when you're about to lose access to all your extra's and freebies if you do not continue your subscribtion. I myself wouldn't want to be in that situation.
