Borderlands 2 Golden Key Code - Act Now

To all the fortune hunters out there still searching for the best loot available in Borderlands 2, Gearbox has just released a code on twitter to receive a golden key to access the exclusive chest found in Sanctuary. Just sign in through Shift on your Borderlands 2 game, and enter the code.

I've given up after 3 (different time of day) attempts now. I'm stick of having to wait by Twitter, so I just gave up entirely.

To all those complaining: follow these twitter handle to get "to the second" updates without waiting on an article @DuvalMagic @GearboxSoftware.
Also, if you look back at the redemption times they were 9am and 9pm central, 3pm and 3am London time... And 2-4am central which is 8-10am London time. I don't see how you are sleep then?!

Okay see I don't wan't to use twitter..... I could understand putting bonus codes on twitter in addition to providing in game ways of earning the codes but to only have them up on twitter makes it so if I want to fully enjoy Borderlands 2 and it's golden chest filled with goodies I have to use an external source. not cool.

I understand where you are coming from, but I think this is a pretty innovative way to increase replay value. Using social media is one of the best ways to get people on the game who may have stopped playing because they moved on to a different game. It has forced me to log into the game 5times already and while I am on why not play?

Also you can follow the twitter feed without having an account. Just search for the name and click on tweets.

I kinda agree with Zsigawhat. It's an actual incentive to gamers who want to participate with it and actually makes a core difference to the gameplay experience when you use the Key. But you know what, most people play the game until level 50 without the Keys anyway. It's not like you cant enjoy the game without.

I only have a pathetic 2... which was only given to me, because I had a pre-order, and got the Loot Box Edition.

The bad part is, you are not guaranteed something very cool, most of the weapons you get are going to be at least a little better than you can buy or will find randomly, but often you will get stuff in the box you do not need or really want, you might get a class mod that is no better than what you have or you might get a mod for a class you do not even play, same with artifacts and the like. you might have a key or two and want a good weapon, you might not even get a weapon at all, and if you do, it might be a weapon you do not like to use, if you are a sniper type, you might end up with a shot gun. its really a crap shoot.

My favorite thing about this silly practice is that you don't actually have to sit there signed into a social networking site that you despise to get a key.

You can just... edit an .ini file.
