There are two kinds of gamers at the moment: gamers who’re waiting for Halo 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 to come out, and gamers who’re waiting for the first group to shut up about Halo 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 coming out. Well, if you’re one of the latter, you know there’s more to life than headshots. Here are a few dates for your calendar which mark the release of awesome games with very little shooting at all in them. If you’re in the first group, though, you’ve still got some time to kill before November- and those thumbs aren’t going to exercise themselves.
Non-playable characters in certain games are meme material, thanks to their foolish behavior. These are the big-budget games with the dumbest NPCs.
Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩
Every Bethesda game and Every Halo game. This list needed to have Cyberpunk somewhere.
Here are the most peaceful areas in games that are otherwise quite violent, offering players respite from chaos in the game world.
My first thought was the safe rooms in the resident evil series. When you hear that enchanting music you know you’re safe.
Afterlife in Cyberpunk 2077 is a peaceful area? Erm, hands down and very hard to miss, Misty Olszewski's Esoterica is the absolute epitome of peaceful areas in that game.
The "last of us" deer location i found to be a welcoming respite. It was nice to not have someone trying to eat me.
With the recent reveal of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and the promise that the series will return to its roots, there hasn’t been a better time to get stuck into Assassin’s Creed’s back catalog, whether it’s replaying an old favorite or getting lost in previously looked-over classic.
I really enjoyed Assassins Creed 3. My only complaint was that I didn’t enjoy when I had to switch from Connor to Desmond. It’s a personal preference, but Connor’s story was just more fun for me.
On a side note, Black flag was the most enjoyable of the AC games I played.
So wait, you means you can't be anticipating Halo 4 AND Assassin's Creed III?
What a joke.
Seriously, i should be excited for just dance 3 instead of call of duty, what am I? a 13 yr old japanese girl? Ill hold out for shooters if These are my only choices.
As a PS3 gamer, it's never hard to find good games that are different from the average shooter. If your having a hard time finding interesting games, then maybe the problem is your console, not a lack of innovation in the industry.
Xbox = Shooter games, 3rd party, kinect
PS3 = Just as many Shooter games, 3rd party, PS Move, MONTHLY 1st party EXCLUSIVES, AND Jrpg's, innovative games (like Soundshapes, Flower, Journey, Tokyo Jungle), Games that let you create (LBP, LBP 2, Infamous 2, LBP karting, Soundshapes, Mod Nation, many more) and so many variety of games.
Not trolling, but if u want a fresh experience instead of just shooters, PS3 (and maybe in a few months, the Wii U) is the place to go. But Xbox has abandoned us by focusing on Halo/Gears/Kinect trio and it's making me sick.
If u disagree, please feel free to debate. If not, then keep on hating, haters.

What a terrible article, you call half those games "recommendations?"
Here, let me save you the trouble of rewriting the whole thing:
Infamous 1 and 2
Assassin's Creed 3
Skyrim
Mario Galaxy 2
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Journey
Ratchet & Clank: CiT
Marvel VS Capcom Origins
Dragon's Dogma
Gran Turismo 5
as an old school gamer who grew up on the NES and Genesis before moving on to PC gaming, I don't always go for FPS. I used to love FPS after playing the first MOH, and the early COD series, because of the "story". but nowadays, it's a mix of shooters, RPGs, platforming, adventure, puzzle, and yes even the casual games.
