I wish bf3 was ported to the Wii u utilizing the hardwares power in 1080p. I am excited a new console is coming out but my brain tells me that it'll be like the Wii again. It's amazing experiencing bf3 on ultra for pc where going back to play console games is like a massive downgrade in game tech and imo Nintendo should have known that's where next gen games are going. I know they don't care and there in lies the problem as a core gamer. To each his own, hopefully the fans have fun, ill wait for ps4

LX-General-Kaos4222d ago (Edited 4222d ago )

There is nothing wrong with waiting for competing consoles. Even if release is up to a year+ away.

To some the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system is an un proven console experience, which is true because it has yet to release to civilization. But with that said, the Nintendo brand has not given up on you, and you are still offered a fair opportunity to experience the next generation of Elite gaming powered by the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system.

The launch titles, while amazing in their own right may not be your cup of tea. But rest assured that just as any other hardware Nintendo game console launch. The cup of tea slowly becomes better and sweeter as time goes along. With a positive attitude, and a Wii bit of patience, you will see the AAA quality arsenal of Nintendo gaming offerings grow in magnitude. Delivering a range of E For Everyone down to more mature gaming experiences for loyal supporters all over the world.

Luckily for us the consumer, the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system has been said to be one of the most potentially correct console launches in history. One of the first I have witnessed to deliver multiple AAA quality exclusive, and multiplat offerings on day one. Which is an achievement unlocked in itself. If you dig deep enough maybe even you can find some software to brighten up your day.

Lets put a smile on that face

^A gaming fanboy is a person who needs to defend their gaming preferences beyond reason, even to the point that they needlessly bring down the competition in order to make their game/game console/gaming company/gaming peripheral look better in comparison.

Kaos isn't doing that.

He's praising the Wii U without saying anything negative about future/current competing consoles. He's simply bringing to light the Wii U's current strengths.

Nimblest-Assassin4222d ago

Kaos is a Nintendo fan, he praises Nintendo without talking crap about other consoles

A fanboy slams another console to make theirs look better... A sad existence if you ask me

PopRocks3594222d ago

Oh wow. The comment tides have turned. People would never stop attacking Kaos for the way he comments about Nintendo products. It's actually a little refreshing to see people recognize how positively written they are.

Chris5584222d ago

This time.. Well said :D

nrvalleytime4222d ago

@LOGICWINS @Nimblest-Assassin @PopRocks359

I can't take anyone seriously who writes "because it has yet to release to civilization".

That makes me laugh, and I know even Kaos has to write it with a smile on his/her face.

Just for discussion's sake, I don't believe your definition of fanboy is complete. Fanboys can promote their own systems as elite without directly referencing other gaming consoles. Curious to hear your thoughts.

LX-General-Kaos4222d ago (Edited 4222d ago )

@nrvalleytime

Im sure that it has become clear by now that I write all my comments with a smile on my face. A quick glance at my avatar is proof. Have a great rest of your day sir.

OhMyGandhi4222d ago (Edited 4222d ago )

did you really just say, "Nintendo Wii U entertainment system"?

Christopher4221d ago

@nrvalleytime: N4G is a site for sharing one's likes and dislikes without turning the conversation into attacks or trolls against others. While Kaos definitely is a fan of Nintendo, and his comments may be seen by others as those from a fanboy, he shares his opinion without degrading others, other consoles, or the like.

Do I approve of Kaos' messages? Not often. Are they within the rules and based on his opinion of the subject/product/company? Yes. Should he be labeled as a fanboy as many others are? No. He's a fan, but he's not rallying against the others for the sake of supporting his own opinion.

BlaqMagiq244221d ago

Im not a big nintendo fan and I thought your comments in the past were a bit "fanboyish" but I gotta praise you for supporting your brand and not bashing others.

AJBACK2FRAG4221d ago

I like you but you read like a press release! Lol!

ShinMaster4221d ago (Edited 4221d ago )

It's a system more powerful, BUT with comparable performance to current gen systems. It will quickly turn into a last gen system when PS4 and Xbox720 are announced. Just like the Wii.

All there will be left is the gimmick and ports.
For example, with the Wii it was the Wiimote and ports like Okami. With the Wii 2.0 it will be the gamepad and ports like Batman:AA.

Kurt Russell4221d ago (Edited 4221d ago )

^Who let captain negative in?"

Wii U is next gen, regardless if other more powerful consoles come out during the same generation. The Wii was one generation, the Wii U is the next... Pretty basic stuff, no need to shit specs out of your arse to defend your yet to exist console of choice.

To each his own. Even if that means you're missing out on what looks like a great system and an incredible launch lineup.

PS4 will undoubtedly be amazing, but a core-gamer might be willing to try more than just one new system.

RFornillos44222d ago

from what i understand, EA DICE decided not to port BF3 to Wii U (although it was originally planned to be ported).

probably because they're busy working on BF4, which according to rumors may be the one that will be released on Wii U (of course multiplatform with other consoles).

anyway, if you still wish to wait for ps4, no problem with that...

YoungPlex4222d ago

Hmm.. sounds exactly like something DivineAssults would say wouldn't you agree Hatsune-Miku... lol

DivineAssault 4222d ago

Ur right.. There are many ppl like us on the fence about Wii U that are waiting for that 1 game to convince us that things are changing w the big N.. I wish them the best of luck & hope great things do come but i dont see any indication thats happening.. I was once a biased & blind supporter of nintendo, but i found the cause of my ignorance.. As much as i would love to open a new box & set up a new piece of tech, im not.. Cant give them my money anymore until they earn it.. DS/3DS didnt nothing special to me having a 2nd screen. Other than real time maps, huds, item management, it wasnt useful TO ME.. I tell u one thing tho, if i see some multiplat core games get announced for it before spring, ill cough up the $300 no prob..

jaymart2k4221d ago (Edited 4221d ago )

If Battlefield 4 comes out on the Wii U & supports 64 players I can see Xbox 360/PS3 owners already crying out loud how it's not fair they only get 24 players.

AWBrawler4221d ago

I miss the good old days where people played GAMES and not dissect the graphics.

I've never had this many games I wanted for a launch window period since the SNES really.

SonyNGP4222d ago

Looks like I'm gonna have to go with ZombiU since Rayman isn't a launch title :/

DyingVendetta4222d ago

I just checked the offical nintendo website, it said rayman legends is a launch title...maybe they havent updated it yet..its all too confusing :/

Nicolee4221d ago

yeb Rayman is a launch title. i have preorder one too

rainslacker4221d ago

I hope it is 11/18. It's been listed at 12/4 at gamestop and amazon for the past couple weeks. Definitely one I'm picking up.:)

Ilovetheps54222d ago

I'm going to be getting ZombiU with my Wii U. I wish I had more money. Can't wait to try the Wii U out though.

fourtwenty20094222d ago

I clicked 'agree' because I wish I had more money too.

MNGamer-N4222d ago

More money indeed. Especially since games are going up to $59.99, there are alot of games I want but can't afford all at once. It makes me feel like Nintendo has done a great job offering enough titles right off the bat to keep me very busy for the next few months.

PS3Freak4222d ago (Edited 4222d ago )

Poorly structured article. Having the developer at the start effects my ability to scan the list quickly. At least on my phone, maybe it's different on a computer.

On topic, I was thinking about getting the Wii U day one, but this launch line up isn't too exciting for me; maybe I'll wait until early next year. Most of the games that I would be interested in, I already own on xbox or ps3.

Still excited for Zombi U, monster hunter, dragon quest, new super mario bros, and a couple others.

Qrphe4222d ago

I REALLY wanted Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 to be launch titles but they're not. I don't know what else to pick up to be honest, I'll probably go for ZombiU since it looks the most interesting (but not ideal for me).

Looking Ahead: The Lingering Questions About the Next Mario Kart

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "10 years. It’s been almost 10 years since the last mainline release in the Mario Kart series. Mario Kart 8 came out for the Wii U in 2014 and became the best-selling game for the system by a sizeable margin, and later pulled the same magic trick on the Nintendo Switch under the stage name Deluxe. All in all, it's sold nearly 70 million copies over the last decade and is still selling like hot cakes to this day, so it’s no wonder Nintendo has been in no rush to replace it. However, with rumors of a new system being just around the corner, and reports a few years back that a new Mario Kart is indeed under way, it seems the era of 8 might very well be drawing to a close. It’s an exciting prospect to be sure, but after two Nintendo systems with Mario Kart 8 at their heart, a lot of questions remain about how Nintendo will choose to follow it up."

I hope they just keep building on Mario Kart 8; Add a track-creation tool, and probably open it up to more Nintendo IPs with new tracks and characters, so Metroid, Punch Out, Starfox, Animal Crossing, etc etc.

gold_drake6d ago

there wont be a new one until the switch 2 comes out.

nintendo needs their bangers early on
